Superior Apartment with Balcony & Gym

We had a lovely stay in Apartment 17 at Icona 2 in York City Centre from Friday to Sunday while visiting Jorvik Viking Festival with our two children. Ian was a fantastic host – very polite and helpful from the start. He called us before arrival to explain how to access the building and also sent a clear video walkthrough with step-by-step instructions, which made everything really straightforward and stress-free. The apartment itself was clean, tidy and modern, with everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. The heating worked really well, so it was especially nice to come back to a warm, cosy apartment after spending long, cold days outdoors at the festival. The location was great – only about a 10-minute walk into the city centre, which was perfectly manageable for the children. There was a slight bit of noise from traffic and some corridor doors banging earlier in the evening, but this quietened down as the night went on and didn’t cause us any real issues. Overall, we had a very positive experience and are very thankful to Ian for being such a helpful and attentive host. We would happily stay again.
