Dry clean and spacious
Little bit of a walk out of town, but we knew that when we booked. It was initially hard to find as the post code takes you further down the road and it’s not well signposted. We thought we had booked an apartment with a much bigger balcony, not sure who’s mistake that was 🤣

The communication with the host was great before arrival. Lovely apartment walking distance into the town. Very clean and spacious.
The beds were very small and uncomfortable. The area around the apartment was you’re noisy with people coming home from pubs/clubs.

The apartment was excellent, except we had a small spillage (water only thank goodness) and could not find any kitchen paper towel or a mop.

It’s location and balcony with a distant view of York Minister. It was well lit, comfortable and clean. We liked the fact that the property had access to a small gym too.
Some basic domestic appliances were lacking such as a coffee maker or even just a cafetière in the kitchen, and in the bathroom there was nowhere to put soap or shampoo in the shower, nor anywhere to hang towels. These are very standard amenities that all rental apartments should have and we had seen that other apartments at Citygate even have Nespresso machines.
