It felt friendly, like sharing someone's loved holiday home. The information folder was the best I've seen, with clear maps illustrating the suggested walks. Great location for start to walks, east or west along the coast. Quiet, peaceful. Comfortable bed, good shower. Seatown is a delightfully quirky location. Everything visible clean on arrival. Easy heating for rooms and water. Cullen has lots to offer.
The table is gateleg and needs to be moved and set up for eating. As a solo, I ate on my knee, which was just fine. Parking away from the house was mildly inconvenient.
What really annoyed me was not the fault of the hosts, but of some previous guests: three teacups had been put away with only a cursory rinse at best and the stain was dried on; the sieve had been used for pasta and not properly rinsed, with bits of pasta firmly dried off on; and a glass had chocolate on the rim. If you are guests in someone's property, please, please clean the cutlery and crockery properly.
