Emahroo Cullen

We loved Emahroo. It is right in the centre of lovely Cullen, perfectly situated for the beach and everything Cullen has to offer. The apartment was really comfortable and the bed/bedding was excellent. We slept really well. Our dog was welcomed, which made for a happy stay for us.

Another great stay at Emahroo - perfect location for leaving the car, exploring Cullen town centre, beach, green spaces, shops, cafes and restaurants. With public transport on your doorstep to explore other towns and walk the coast. Always feel at home here, with a warm welcome and easy, quick communication with host if needed. Didn't get a chance to try out the new log stove, as weather warm and sunny for our stay, next time...

Couple of small housekeeping issues, along with housekeeper turning up 15 mins before check-out time on our departure day which, despite being ready to leave, left us feeling pressured to vacate pronto. And didn't allow our usual last look round before saying farewell to Emahroo till the next time. Hardly worth mentioning but niggles none-the-less.

Location was perfect for our trip, with a great central location to explore Cullen and the surrounding area. Could not ask for a better accomadation for our trip

Nothing we didnt like, just the fun of one of ours dogs getting into the back door of one of the down stairs neighbours on the 1st day of our stay...lol

Nice bright flat, central location, everything you need in the kitchen and host left milk to make tea. Felt spacious and good quality, high ceilings were nice and the feature fireplace and sash windows were charming. Plenty of free parking nearby and we were sent the code for the keysafe before arrival time (though be warned, you may not have signal!).

Lovely floor painted yellow has unfortunately also coloured all of our socks yellow too - the ones I've washed so far are still yellow. Lots of dog hair, mainly on the floor/rug but especially under the couches and beds, general smell of dog especially in the entranceway. Our clothes picked up white dog hair. The sugar had lumps of coffee/other things in it, not a huge deal but not great. Feather and down duvets/pillows, not for me - prefer more ethical options that don't make us sneeze. Overall a sneezy, wheezy stay - had the windows open as much as we could get them up but only solution was antihistamines and staying out as much as possible.
