Exceptional studio apartment in the centre of Cullen, well equipped and comfortable, close to everything. Very helpful host who gave up tips for places to eat which were spot on. Some amazing walks. Would certainly stay here again.

lovely location shop across the road pub next door and you right in middle of culllen
there was a very strong smell of dog cheesy feet coming from sofa shower couldnt turn down heat bathroom towels had a very dirty smell and was yellow when should of been white colour

Cullen is a lovely place, we will be back
Lovely cosy cottage, in the centre of Cullen. Apartment is comfortable and has everything you need. Bonus they accept dogs as my dogs love being able to walk to the fantastic local beaches. Coop is on the same street plus there are 3 pubs you can walk to all doing excellent food, plus there is a great fish and chip shop and an ice cream shop.

Cosy apartment by the sea, lovely.
The apartment had everything we needed, bed comfy , good shower, close to amenities, lovely coastal walks. Good contact with host before stay. Most importantly was it was dog friendly,
The only small thing was that the fan in bathroom didnāt work and got a lot of condensation after a shower, but everything else was spot on.

It has taken me a while to write this review. After lots of thoughts, I am afraid I can not recommend this property. When we arrived, the apartment looked beautiful. Unfortunately, there was a horrendous smell from the bathroom, making it impossible to stay in the apartment. Contacted number given to phone. This was Chris's mum jaqui who was amazing. She arranged a pod for us. We had booked cullen as I had family in portsoy who we were meeting up with. Cullen is 4 miles from portsoy. The pod (which was beautiful) was 27 miles from portsoy so our holiday ended up with us having to drive every day to meet our family which was not what we had planed to do. I did ask for compensation but was told by Chris he was the one out of pocket and to contact Booking.com. for compensation....his email to us was rude and the tone was terrible. He did ask me not to leave a bad review. I will leave it at that.

Amazing stay!
The place was spotless and furnished to a high quality. Very central location in Cullen with everything pretty much on the doorstep. Chris was very responsive to any queries we had. Had an amazing time and have booked again for next year. Couldn't fault it!

Beautiful Cullen
Beautiful old property which has been wonderfully furnished inside. The amazing coffee machine is a huge bonus! The property is a short walk from the beach and trails, as well as food options and the local shops. We have stayed here before and will do again.
We did have problems with noise from the property upstairs but upon contacting the owner he responded immediately and we were really pleased with his response. The sofa bed is quite uncomfortable.

It's a lovely modern large flat, just in the centre of Cullen, it had everything we needed, and was really comfortable, airy and warm.
It's across the road from the Co-Op with long opening hours & lovely staff, and the chip shop or Chinese takeaway are nearby.
The large TV had extra satellite channels not just free view which is great.
Loads of extra pillows & bedding supplied, all white, clean & fresh.
Lots of kitchen essentials were there, and cleaning products.
I'd been in contact with the hosts asking if they could provide wine & birthday cake as a surprise on arrival, and the cake was WOW! Made by a local person, beautifully decorated, really special & very much appreciated. Thank you so much .
There are two steps from the living room into the bedroom & into the kitchen, and a big step in the bathroom to access the shower, This could be a problem if mobility is limited.
The wood flooring was cold & slippy in socks, we could have done with slippers or grippy socks if we had known.

The dirt,!!!!cobwebs all over the stonewall,loads of cobwebs beside and down the back of fridge,tile trim in kitchen filthy,extractor hood covered in grease,skirting boards dirty and very scruffy.No washing machine as in photos on web.No fire extinguisher !!!Bathroomā¦can you call it a bathroom,shower dirty black mould around shower tray,more cobwebs down the side of the loo,the window looked out onto a scruffy,dirty unkemp āareaā.Extractor fan DOES NOT WORK..Showing shocking decking for upstairs,no guttering so when it rained the water ran like a waterfall onto bedroom window sill..
The small sofa was impossible to sit on as no support at all. The celing is like an office with badly fitted ceiling tiles and fibreglass insulation hanging down.Surley this should not be the case.We tried both contact numbers on arrival after discovering the filth and they would not conect,We could not access internet ,as the providers details were rubbed out.The bedroom,trim on top step raised up on left side and I cut my toe on it..blind greasy,covered in dust,and the window was filthy,the bed was so uncomfortable,mattress so thin could feel the springs.When looking for the socket nxt to the bed,I moved the set of drawers forward and discovered so much dirt,old clothes tag.
The upstairs staircase above the bed was just horrific,due to the noise from guests staying upstairs.All night,each night,everytime the used the loo,the shower it woke us up..One very important issue is were do your guest get rid of rubbish???,no information on this.And also no history about the Old Chemist,despite notes saying itās steeped in history. If the Old chemist was extremely deep cleaned,new bed& sofa.Bathroom cleaned and the āyard area ā well and truley cleared and cleaned,we would come again,itās location is fab,albeit next to a pub,that caused no issue,upstairs was way noisier.Last if all the outside area,front door dirty,and pavement covered in rubbish..So sad as it COULD be a lovely place to stay
