Shrewsbury Georgian town house - Hills Lane

Location of the property was excellent, near to the river, shops, restaurants and historical sites.

We were in Shrewsbury the night England were playing in the quarter final of the World Cup so did not get very much sleep as we had to leave the windows open due to the heat wave.

The location was very central.Easy to get to town centre and to the walk along the river.

Some basic utilities in the kitchen ie,bread knife,more glasses. The property was quite noisy at night. Sounds from restaurant next door.Loud music coming from club close to property.

Very central, to be able to have a room each was a bonus. Lovely place, bright and airy, clean but could do with a little more attention and up to date with plugs for phone charging. We were out most days so only had breakfast there and a cuppa before bed but seemed very well stocked. Beds comfy, nice clean towels, pretty enough rooms and it was warm too ( no heating on). We’d read the reviews about the nightclub not being far away so thank goodness for secondary double glazing and ear plugs it wasn’t too bad Friday night could we just hear a low beat but Saturday the whole of The Shrew seemed to be queuing outside the houses along the street, they were louder than the music BUT it wouldn’t put us off staying again BUT earplugs are recommended. Loved Shrewsbury and will be back.

There wasn’t anything not to like as said could do with a deeper clean and up to date plugs. Noticed a few people saying there wasn’t a freezer but we hadn’t needed one and wasn’t there long enough to need one. Maybe would benefit from all the railings looking like the one on the blue room( a little more hanging space) and more hangers but no real issues it’s a lovely house.
