Fabulous place to stay in Skipton

Great place to stay the night. The hosts made it easy for us throughout and rang us when we wanted to know about the wifi. On our last day they helped us steal the luggage too. Can I recommend this place enough and thank you for a lovely stay.

Absolutely loved the accommodation. Very modern, spacious and the beds were ever so comfortable.

Nicely furnished in a good location.

The location was very good, near town and for walks along the canal. After many days in hotels, having a well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer was welcome. The cottage was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom updated. It was quiet. There is even a back patio. We could park right outside the front door, but be warned that the street, and the ones leading to it, is very steep and typically narrow. Contact with the host was efficient.

We have no real complaints, but I would note that, like many properties in the area, the only bathroom is upstairs and the stairs are quite steep. This is not a suitable place for people with limited mobility. The only indoor eating space is a bar along one wall. It was fine for 2 people for a short stay, but it might not work as well for a large group who plan to eat in.

The fact that despite several attempts and your intervention i could not contact the owner to gain access. Had to book alternative accommodation at very short notice at a considerable cost to me

Lovely cottage in great location

Great size, modern interior, good location

We requested early check in and paid for it, however the property wasn’t ready. We had to wait around 15 mins which was a short wait only, however the cleaning wasn’t as thorough as it could have been.

It was really handy for Skipton which is lovely place.

The stairs!! Really steep a handrail would help enormously,it was very difficult for my husband who is awaiting a knee replacement. Just a couple of other things,wash basin tap was very loose,and one of the stools at the breakfast bar was badly damaged. Loved the sensor lights in the bathroom.

Great location, perfect to explore Skipton. House was lovely and clean with modern decor. Great for sharing with friends. The offer at the hosts bar was great and we were greeted warmly.

Nothing about the property. We were aware of where it was situated and the risk of some noise later at night but the positives outweighed this.

Perhaps another armchair in the sitting room - if we’d stayed for more than one night it might have been a bit of a squeeze for four of us to relax.

Central and comfortable but noisy at night if you have the windows open.

On a warm Friday evening with the windows open it was very noisy at night because of people coming out of the nearby bars and air conditioning noises.

Easy and pleasant stay, great location.

Location was great. We asked the host a week before our stay if they could provide a travel cot and highchair and they called on the morning of our stay to say they could. They were dropped off to us by tea time- we were really grateful.

The intense plug in smellies- but that’s just personal preference. It would have been great to have bedding for the travel cot too.

Perfect Position in Skipton

Spotlessly clean, well presented property. Very close to the centre so once we arrived we parked up and left the cars as we could walk into the town. Comfortable beds, sitting room and excellent shower.

The bathroom sink needed some attention as although it looked lovely the plug did not fit and the tap was wobbly. Personally I would prefer to have curtains in the bedrooms rather than just blinds. Far too much light is let in.

Fabulous place I would stay again as long as not a Fri or Sat night

The property was fabulous clean and had all you need. TVs in lounge and bedrooms.

Location was great to walk into Skipton and up to the castle and woods which we did. However we stayed on a Saturday night and the property is located behind a nightclub which doesn’t close till 3am so being a light sleeper I didn’t get to sleep till 3am

Comfortable property close to the town centre. The on street parking is on a very steep hill.

No hand rail up the stairs. Only one tea bag and one sachet of coffee. Huge disparity in booking.com email details and the correct details. Ie incorrect key safe number and contact details of host. When I eventually got intouch with the host on another number she politely and efficiently sorted out the issues with access. We would be happy to stay in the property again

No parking when we arrived but managed to get a parking space later. I think it needs to be mentioned that it is on a steep hill as some people would not be able to manage the bank for parking and walking
