Como Pretty Studio Apt

We were incredibly disappointed with our stay and would not recommend this apartment. ​The only positive was the location, but even that comes with a major caveat - it's at the top of a very steep hill, which could be a real problem for anyone with mobility issues. ​The main and most serious issue was the cold. The apartment is essentially a basement level (-1 from Via Prudenziana), gets no direct sunlight, and has old, freezing cold floor tiles. The thermostat was locked at 14°C and couldn't be changed. We hoped to use the air conditioning for heat, but it was completely non-functional. There was no remote control in the apartment, and the button on the unit itself did nothing, leading us to believe it wasn't even connected to power. At night, it was genuinely warmer outside than it was inside the apartment. ​The problems continued in the bathroom. The shower curtain was visibly dirty and moldy. Worse, the shower drain was so slow that it would overflow after just a couple of minutes, flooding the entire bathroom floor. With no drain on the floor and nothing provided to clean up the large puddle, it was a huge mess. ​Sleep was almost impossible because the 'bed' was an uncomfortable, expanded sofa. The frame on one side made it difficult to get in and out of bed, and with no headboard and a gap behind it, our pillows (which were very thin) would just fall down the back. ​Finally, dealing with the management agency was frustrating. They require you to sign an additional contract outside of Booking.com and sent numerous messages about rules. Yet, when we contacted them about the critical heating issue, we received no response whatsoever, either on Booking.com or WhatsApp. We were completely ignored. The WiFi kept disconnecting. ​For the price charged, this was terrible value. An accommodation should provide basic cleanliness, a functional bed, and adequate heating. This place failed on all counts.

Bel espace, propre et bien placé (proche du charmant centre de Côme et du lac), nous avons apprécié notre court séjour dans ce lieu 🙂
