Live Like a Rum Baron in a 200 Year Old Mansion!

The property is amazing, great experience and best location in Old San Juan. Highly recommend!

The mansion was an absolute showstopper. Regrettably, my time there was limited. Nevertheless, the location was spot on, placing me in the midst of all the sights I wanted to explore. My stay was a resounding success, and I wholeheartedly endorse it. The open area floor plan, coupled with the balcony overlooking the picturesque cobblestone streets, left a lasting impression. Jon's service was top-notch. I would eagerly return to this incredible property.

Staying at the Rum Baron Mansion was an experience in and of itself! The location within Old San Juan can't be beat; walking distance to everything you could want to visit, with plenty of restaurants and a Supermax grocery a couple short blocks away. Communication was excellent, and it was very easy to access the property. The home itself is chock full of character, from the layout (the 2nd floor is almost housed within a loggia looking out into a central courtyard) to the furnishings and art. We loved feeling like we were truly experiencing a different place. A couple things to note. This may not be the place for you if you need quiet. Due to the location and the windows that open directly over the streets, there was street noise late into the night. This is the case anywhere in OSJ but would be mitigated with the more traditional windows found in a hotel. There's also a good deal of light that enters the bedrooms when the sun comes up. We didn't mind either of these things, but just something to note! Loved our stay and would absolutely book again!

Jon’s home is truly one of the most incredible places I’ve ever stayed. The location was perfect, easy to just step out into the beautiful streets of Old San Juan. The place itself is as if you’re transported in time and the balconies are just incredible when open and the breeze that goes through the whole house.Jon was really easy to communicate with and everything was truly a breeze. If you can stay here, book it. I promise you it will be very well worth it.
