The views are amazing! The room overlooked the sea and there were lots of outdoor spaces to sit. The breakfast was great with so many pastries, meats, cheeses and the gentleman who set it up and made my cappuccino was very friendly! I got up very early one morning and he was kind to make me a cappuccino before 7!

Spectacular views and set into a cliff wall right on the Tyrrhenian Sea this place verges on the unbelievable in value for money. The ocean bathing area, with an abundance of reclining sun-beds and in arm’s reach of a well stocked bar, is manned by a vigilant lifeguard (bagnino). The Mediterranean is not known misanthropic sea creatures, so swim away carefree.
What’s not to relish? The decor is comprehensively naff and outdated, but not so ostentatious to be passed as an attraction. You’ll also be charmed by the staff’s limited English comprehension.
That said, this is easily overlooked for the pristine cleanliness Italians are renowned for and the incredible location. The perfect base to access the magnificent isle of Elba.
