Cosy flat in Alnwick

Location good- a short walk into the centre of Alnwick. All equipment we needed in the kitchen and plenty of towels and bathroom products. Very comfy bed and crisp bed linen.

Found it tricky to find and hard to park on the street nearby. 2nd floor was a surprise- did not expect that! It was fine, just unexpected! Windows are single glazed so not the best for sound proofing. Probably unable to change them because of the building to be fair. Random plastic inside the window of the master bedroom. Not sure what purpose it was to serve?

Perfect location, everything in walking distance, free parking pretty much outside, quiet location, cosy and comfortable with lots of little touches to make it more comfortable

Nothing, it was all absolutely great, would stay here again

Host was very communicative and always responded promptly to any questions we had, helpful with advice on restaurants and places to visit. The flat was cosy and well equipped and in a great location relevant to the town and in an area of characterful Georgian stone buildings giving easy access to the town and castle / grounds and walks along the river. Also it's a short walk to Barter Bookshop in the converted station building.

We stayed over the weekend only and it seemed a relatively quiet road outside, although on the Monday morning the traffic started very early and larger vehicles were quite noisy. While we appreciate that the building has been converted to apartments and there are different owners, although the apartment we had was nice, the entrance hall / staircase and street door to the building let it down, was quite basic, & stark.

Location excellent. On street parking just round the corner and easy walking distance to pubs , restaurants etc
