Location was very good in a quiet neighbourhood with a very easy walk into Sao Vicente. The town had a large supermarket very close and plenty of restaurants. The house was very clean and quiet.
Only issue I had was wifi was not working during my stay. Good news is that mobile reception was good in the room which made communication ok during my stay.

I never met the host, but when I talked to him on the phone he was very, very nice and helpful. the location is also great, perfect in the middle of the island to go an explore the rest.
I was early for check in and got the room downstairs (I was supposed to have another one). It smelled really musty, and the first day had a strong chemical (washing detergent) smell. My private bathroom was full of mold. I would have prefered the room upstairs, seemed nicer and cleaner there. The kitchen was OK. Strong smell sometimes, but thats because guets leave food out.
