They were very responsive with an issue with the air carrier not only allowing us to change our arrival date to a day earlier, but also arranging a shuttle pickup in Flores Guatemala. What could have been a trip disaster was turned into a private excursion to Yaxha, all arranged by the hotel. While there we did three additional hotel arranged excursions with personal guides to Caracol, Zunantunich, and cave tubing, each culminating with drinks and dinner, with a view, from their open air restaurant.

I did not go in the pool; however from the look of it, I am certain I would have enjoy it. I only had one drink the entire stay and it was well mixed. As far as drink selections, they have plenty; there were many beautiful glasses passing by to other tables for those who likes alcohol.

The view from my room was breathtaking. The receptionist on my first day of check in was very helpful. Just for the view, I would definitely come back and stay here. Definitely recommend others to stay here if they are staying in San Ignacio. My criticism would be the shower was a bit hard to use because the water was weak and that the pool was quite dirty. The water was murky. The person on the day I checked out could have been a bit more courteous. After checking out, he just told me "you're all set". Something like "Thank you for staying with us. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us." would go a long way.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is nice, with fun hut-style units. We loved our screened-in area with some chairs and a hammock for hanging out in the evenings, protected from the bugs. We were traveling on a budget, which created a couple challenges: The hotel is far from most things, aside from the ruins, so probably best if you have a car. When it was hot, it was too much to walk from town to the hotel and when it was cool, my 11-year-old daughter still complained a lot. And, the restaurant was a little pricey for us, especially the buffet breakfast, which was the only option one morning at $15pp. (Usually there is a small cafe open that has more affordable options, but it does not serve food on Sundays and was closed inexplicably another morning.) Finally, I will mention that there were what appeared to be mouse droppings in front of our door. I never saw any animals (aside from a few ants trying to carry away the droppings), but it was disappointing that housekeeping came and did not clean this up. All that said, I would be happy to stay here again. I probably won't, because it doesn't fit with my kind of travel, but given some adjustments in budget to cover the extra expenses, it was an enjoyable stay.

The place was super cute, very clean, and most of the staff was pretty nice. The only bad thing was that we book a tour through the hotel which got canceled due to weather. They still charge us for a box lunch that was never given to us. And they were very unresponsive when I asked for a refund.

We had a party of six and we were only able to stay one night. We wish we could have stayed longer the staff was superb and the food was excellent. We had an unfortunate incident which required a late checkout and they were so accommodating. What a wonderful staff everyone always had a smile and we're very helpful. My wife and I live here in Belize and we will definitely come and stay more often.

The staff at Cahal Pech resort were super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend having them set up your tours of the Mayan ruins if that's what you are there to do. The tours were very reasonable and we pretty much had our own personal driver and tour guides. They also set us up with the trip into Guatemala to tour Tikal as well. Again, we had our own driver and tour guide. They pretty much walk you across the border and get you situated. The resort also arranged our transfer from the airport to the resort and from the resort to the Water Taxi. It was great to have a driver because they had lots of local information and all of them were local to San Ignacio. We learned lots of local information and history during the drives. The resort itself is delightful. It is not a 5 star luxury resort, but was very comfortable and clean. The pools were awesome and the views of the valley were amazing. Sunsets on the deck overlooking the valley were out of this world. We stayed in a Cabana, which was very comfortable, good A/C, and nice views. The restaurant was very good. We ate breakfast and dinner there. Lunch was had out. Would definitely stay there again.

Incredible views all around the property. Two pools and a hot tub. Delicious food from the restaurant! We stayed in the cabana, and it was 100% the way to go, with your own private sunroom and hammock looking out onto all of San Ignacio.
