    Great location - walking distance to the beach. Rooms were a little dated but otherwise comfortable and clean. Because of the annual fireworks, the hotel even chartered a bus to take guests to the fireworks and back (for free). We were particularly touched by the older gentleman managing the hotel. He took great care of each and every one of us and made us feel welcomed. At the end of our stay, he gifted my young daughter a hand-made origami toy.

    I loved my stay at Hotel Izukyu and will stay again. Since it was off season, the hotel was very quiet which suited me perfectly and the empty beach and outdoor onsen were both highlights. As others have mentioned, the hotel is a bit older but it is perfectly maintained and the older style just adds to the charm.
