Relais Rione Ponte

While the property was everything as expected, and then some, the staff was amazing and did everything in their power to make us feel not only like welcome guests, but like family. The property is centrally located to a tourist's Rome, right at Piazza Navona, with great restaurants within several blocks. When my travels take me back to Rome, I plan to stay at this property again.

The Relais Rione Ponte property in Rome is a true hidden gem for multiple reasons. First and foremost, the property is very well maintained, The rooms are spacious (more so than many others in Rome); it is very clean and the amenities offered are fine. The property is very well located. It is only a block away from Piazza Navona and just a couple of blocks from the Tiber River. This means that you will be able to walk to most of the main sites in Rome, including St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Castel Sant'Angelo ( a 15 minute walk); the Pantheon (9 minute walk); etc. Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants in the area which are actually very good. (The property managers will give you 2 great lists of the non-touristic local Roman places to go for breakfast and dinner, and they will even help you make the reservations, if needed.) Note: There is an elevator to take you to the 2nd floor.) What truly makes this property a real find is the staff. They will go out of their way to make your stay a genuine pleasure. The property managers Laura and Silvia, as well as their supporting staff (Marianne and Giancarlo?) were always very attentive and provided promptly any requests made and as well as made terrific recommendations (even to a multi-time visitor to Rome). As a world traveler for over 40 years who has visited over 120 countries thoroughly, the experience at this property has been one of the best (even exceeding many 5 star hotels that I have stayed).
