Best Western Plus Hotel Comedie Saint-Roch

The front desk/check-in service was excellent, and the gentleman helped sort out some travel details for us to gt to the airport from downtown, as well as suggesting numerous sight-seeing opportunities. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous, I felt assured that we were well taken care of by the staff. Thee hotel is right across from the intercity rail station, and there are a pair of intra-city lines directly in front of the building, so there is a low-level hum or rumble throughout the day, but it isn't obnoxious and didn't prevent sleep at night, but it's something you'll notice and then realize that you have ignored it and it's simply background noise after a few minutes. We reserved a Queen + twin room for 3 people (couple + adult child) and there was a second twin bed covered where a couch would normally be, which meant the already tiny room was *very* cramped, with only just enough room to walk between the beds. However, that's okay because we only needed the hotel room for sleeping and showering, and it was fine for that. If you had 4 people, it would be very cramped. All this said, we had a very nice stay and the Best Western Plus Hotel Comedie Saint-Roch was a good central location for our visit to the city.

Excellent location, especially if you are travelling by train, very quiet even though it's proximity to public transport.

The hotel offers good value for the price, and overall we had a pleasant stay. However, we did encounter an issue with the air conditioning in our room, as it wasn’t working properly. We informed the reception, and they said someone would check it, but unfortunately, when we returned later, it still hadn’t been fixed. Regarding breakfast, it costs ***, and while it’s decent, the selection is somewhat limited compared to other hotels we’ve experienced. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but we would recommend expanding the variety of options.

One of the most frustrating aspects of our stay was the parking situation. The hotel does not make it clear during booking that the parking is located quite a distance away. There is no option to drop off luggage at the hotel entrance, which made things extremely difficult—especially as international travelers with multiple bags. We had to haul our luggage from the parking lot to the hotel ourselves, which was exhausting and frustrating. This is something that absolutely should be communicated clearly on the booking platform, especially for guests unfamiliar with the area. If you’re traveling with heavy luggage or arriving from abroad, be prepared for a very inconvenient start to your stay.
