We didn’t stay family illness

This stay was very disappointing, especially compared to the pictures. Although the exterior had recently been painted, the interior was tired and run down. The room was dirty, especially the floor. I bought new white slippers and within 2 days of walking from the bed to the toilet, they were black. When we spoke to the staff and said no one had cleaned the room, we were told that they don't get cleaned for 8 days! It still wasn't done after the complaint. Cigarette ends left in ashtray, shower tray filled up after quick shower, broken shower door, towel rail upside down, had to ask for toilet paper and tea and coffee. The worst was blood on the very lumpy pillow that was replaced, but not removed. We left 3 days before due to check out but could not get a refund. Hard to get hold of any staff, no one around. We would have stayed if they has mopped the floor and politely changed the pillows with apologies. It felt like we were putting them out. Would NOT recommend 😕

Stayed in a double room with Sea view and balcony on top floor, looked as if room had been recently renovated, very clean and excellent view. Anyone taller than me (5'-3") might have problems with sloping ceilings. Floor also very squeaky.

The manager was warm and welcoming if we needed anything we had contact details. Windows and wood work could do with cleaning. Overall pleasant stay and would definitely stay again comfy bed clean room.

Room looked clean but had bed bugs fleas and a glass shelf in bathroom was loose and cushions were filthy full of dirt so never even slept in the room went down to complain at 9.15 no body to report issues to so waiting until 2 am went home

Upon check in our room didnt have toilet roll, it had only 1 coffee sachet, no sugar no milk etc. The rooms are grubby with filthy floors. The bed creaks but isnt too uncomfortable. We had a balcony room but only 1 of us could use it as it was so small with barely enough room for 1 chair, it also felt unsafe due to the camber. The shower pressure was non existent, it chooses its own temperature to trickle at and the cubicle is tiny. You need to unplug the small kettle snd carry the whole thing, cord and all, to fill it up. The tv has no channels, every station shows no signal. Theres a funky dirty grease smell but that could be coming from the kfc across the road. No bar facilities.

Parking was an issue for us as we parked quite a fair distance away a good 10mins walk. We were in room 19 which was right up in the roof space. Room was nice and had everything needed - but the floor was super squeaky. If your tall 6ft you'll need a bump hat as some beams are low in bathroom an room. The location was superb right on the front an over all the hotel was ok.

No lift!stairs an issue if elderly and have mobility problems. double room sea view room 16 not really big enough balcony rather poor but nice view! Traffic noise continues from road 24 /7. Late night speeding up and down seafront road.!!

The room was comfortable but the curtains did 🚭 thing to keep out the glaring lights , we expected this but they were so far away from the windows that they left huge gaps of light , as for the noise of ppl passing by shouting obscenities at the top of there lungs people obviously vomiting outside and the people in the next room screaming and smoking cannabis on the balcony all night it was sickening, tbh we were quoted £67 for the night but ended up paying £98 witch was a rip off , it was a treat for my 3yr old Granddaughter, but she was so upset we just left the next morning and won't be returning

Poor accommodation,room was stifling hot with no air at all,the shower didn’t work properly,barely a trickle of water,2 sockets for kettle and tv and the only other sockets were located behind the bed where you can’t reach without completely moving the bed,the bins were not changed at all during a week stay and I had to ask for the towels to be changed,the bed and bed linen were clean.There was only 1 toilet roll for 2 people for a week so I had to buy some myself,I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again or I wouldn’t recommend it.

On arrival we were greeted and checked in by a lovely, polite and friendly young lady who offered to help us with our luggage up the 3 flights of stairs & informed us of breakfast options. The room was

Firstly, we arrived and there was no parking despite booking with parking, after about 45 minutes of customer services the receptionist came out and we had the leave our car in the alley way, this did not feel secure. Room was filthy, no furniture that was fit for purpose (old broken and not what was pictured on the advert). The windows were broken so wouldn’t close, which we normally wouldn’t mind but the room next to us sat on their balcony all day chain smoking and coughing. The shower hardly worked so no hair washes. Rooms around us were very loud- dogs marking, talking load, thudding foot steps (day and night- I mean almost all night!) we expect some noise but this was horrendous. Breakfast was shocking to the point we didn’t bother. Customer service was transparent and no where to be seen to raise any complaints.

Not very clean, no wi fi, breakfast very poor, no house keeping same towels all of stay only 1 toilet roll, no bins emptied no stair lift in situ as stated extremely not suitable for elderly or limited ability’s and not happy about the slug in the room that had crawled all over the suitcase, my handbag and anything else it fancied. Certainly would not recommend to anyone very dissatisfied!

Was our second time staying here. This time we booked the sea-view room. The room was very clean and well kept. The receptionist was lovely, shown us to our rooms. Very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back the next time we visit!

I don’t like the stairs they were very steep the bed was very small for a double the bathroom was tiny very hard to get past sink for the shower for a large person the towels were rock hard. The staff were great the breakfast was top notch very hot and well cooked

Room was dirty, layer of dust throughout. Toilet had marks, sinks had toothpaste from previous guests. Part of stairs had no handrail. Room had socket hanging from wall. Ended up staying at Savoy instead

I appreciate a new couple have recently took over and they agreed to give us a new room because there was two drips / leaks in our "sea view" room just to left of main bed. But then wanting to adress it straight away, the intercom was being ignored and waiting over 20 min in lobby to request the new room someone finally came and checked our room and come with an offer of a back room. Allthough bearly adequate came with no view and was inferior, but no compensation was offtered other than an apology. Maybe a free breakfast at least seeing as i had to pay for it on top Breakfast was ok (BEING GENEROUS) but absolutely no customer service other than here you go when it was brought out.. no one was ever seen again even though we spent a good 20+ minutes in there. We then left the breakfast area and went to the room and packed and left. Again never seeing anyone again... so guys, if you read this, spend more time with your guests and attend to them much quicker and dont keep ignoring the intercom until you feel you can come, especially when you indicate the reception is manned full time to 10pm.. shouldnt really keep guests waiting like that..

It’s disgusting we paid £128 for the night the room is dirty food on the floor and table curtains didn’t fit the window shower was red hot no cold water and water dribbled out kettle wouldn’t fit under the tap to fill and the bed omg I had 3 hot urs sleep asked for our money back within minutes of being in the room and was told no The walls are dirty furniture is from the 60s the tv is so smell it’s unreal dust everywhere you could hear the people walking around creepy floorboards and £8.90 for I bacon 1 hash brown 1 egg 1 sausage and a spone of beans
