Very bad AC, hardly did anything. Small room, but nice view (if sea view). Nice staff. The hotel is located 20 min drive from any reasonable sized town.

Rooms are rather small, but comfortable. I definitely recommend getting a room with a view to the lake. Breakfast was good, but the service was a bit slow (everything was running out all the time), this may be due to the hotel being fully booked the entire time. Hotel has its own private garden with access to the lake (accompanied by sunchairs etc), this is a nice addition.

We had a wonderful time in Garda that was facilitated by the lovely staff who were all friendly and helpful people. In fact they could not have done more for us! We arrived by public transport. The buses served us well on our a trip. For those using the bus, get off at hotel Caribe which is next to hotel merano. The rooms were very clean, the lake view was perfect, the breakfasts were fresh and delicious with plenty of choice. The local village is Pai which is a 10minute walk along the lake for restaurants. The hotel garden is private and lovely with easy access to swimming in the lake. The indoor pool is also clean and a good size if required! Would love to return to this family run hotel.

The rooms at the back of the hotel have a view of a small cliff standing 2 meters from the hotel. This blocks the sunlight but keeps rooms cool. The rooms at the front provide a great view of the lake and super sunsets but are so warm and loud. The beach is the best place - especially in the evenings when it's empty. At the end of our long days travelling around Lake Garda, we enjoyed returning to our quiet beach for a quick dip to cool down and and for our bottle of 'house wine' to chill out.
