Old building and stairs. But owner meet me there and opened all the doors and explained the locks. Recommend a great restaurant FORST. 5 minutes away. Snacks and pastry (factory made) available free all the time. Nice but not lux. It worked well for me. I would stay there again.

Be aware that there is not a lot of parking space however we could at the trainstation about 5 minutes walking for only €14,per day. We would visit this Bed&Breakfast again in the future.

This stay was a happy accident. We thought we were booking B & B Trieste (one block away) and booked B & B Trieste Plus. Pros: Clean, quiet and safe Comfortable bed Convenient-One block away from the Trieste Centrale train station Stayed 3 nights - took a fun day trip to Venice by train Walked all around Trieste , several parks and a medieval castle Grocery across from train station (but we actually preferred the ALDI store - a little further but better selection and prices) Enjoyed a Chicken Wrap at the Turkish cafe next to Piazza Della Liberta Look towards the water for fancier food choices. Included small but sufficient variety of breakfast foods & 24 hour coffee & hot cocoa machine in hall. Given 3 keys- front door to the building, hotel door and room door. Great communication- quick to reply through Expedia and gave us the direct phone number too (but we just used the Expedia app). Cons: Fan not air conditioning- it was hot every day (mid 80s) and we were fine with the window open and the fan going. Bottom line: Don’t be thrown off by the old entrance and dark staircase (light switch on wall). Yes, the building is very old but with character and they share it with apartments and businesses. We were concerned when we first arrived but once you get to the inside door, you just feel welcomed to your European adventure. Convenient part of town if walking or taking train or bus. If you are looking for the typical, uniform type hotel experience, look elsewhere.

Great to have 24 hour access but it did take 2 calls and several buzzes on the door to get hold of some one to let us into the block.

On arrival I couldn’t get in. I had to ask a friendly guy in the street to ring for how. Over the phone the host gave me a code to release the key. In confusion I got in and got the key. The room was ok, clean etc. Come breakfast, it was very basic dry fare except for coffee. I came I went, never saw anyone. Not my worst ever but unusual.

Hard to get in when you do not have cell service, luckily someone opened the door and we managed to get in, after that it was all easy chevk in. Self monitored. Room itself was great, super clean bathroom and room. The building could need some love.

This very clean, spacious, well-organised, ensuite room which shares a kitchen with about three other rooms is located in a very central part of Trieste. It is very close to Trieste Central's train station, intercity bus station (eg Flixbus), and local bus station. We found supermarkets, cafe/bars and laundromats nearby. A short walk from this Airbnb gets you to many sightseeing attractions, including the harbour and marina.

That we decided to go for a B&B/Apartment rather than a hotel this time was a good option. Prices in Trieste are quite high even in the low season months, and this B&B was a fantastic value for money. The owner was answering via email and sms at no delay, always there to help anyone. The room was very nice and large, clean and super comfortable. The breakfast although modest, was good enough to kick the day, but you have a kitchen you can use and a fridge for having some of your own stuff should you need to. The location could not be any better, not even 5 mins away from the central train and bus stations, and a short beautiful walk towards the old town. Very recommended to anyone.

The room had a great size and the bed were comfortable. There is no reception in the B&B and there is self service check in based on instructions from the owner. We came early, but the owner were very helpful with arranging for us to leave our luggage in the room before the check in time.There is coffee and cereals in the common area available for guests. Other than that the breakfast is only sweet biscuits/cookies and juice delivered in the room at check in. The B&B has a perfect location very close to the train station and city center.

The whole check-in process was automated. Never met any reception staff. Room was spacious and clean. Good bathroom. Good WiFi. No air conditioning. No elevator in building (1 1/2 flights of stairs to climb). Cash only. Breakfast not worth mentioning; consisted of a few sweet things wrapped in plastic and a small carton of sugared juice. Free coffee from machine. Contrary to the description on the Hotels.com page no free bottled water was provided. Bottled water was not even available on the premises (even asked the cleaning staff in the morning) which was annoying when arriving after 22 on a hot day. OK for a one night stay close to the railway station. But bring you own drinking water and take time to have breakfast elsewhere.
