Well located from the bus and train station. Easy access to everything in the downtown area

Location was close to everything.the person managing the place is very nice and accommodating. Very clean.

Beds were hard and we felt it after a few nights. I wish that we had a towel to put on the ground when I exited the shower.

Good location, That's about it

The room was clean, location very close to the train station. The curtains did a decent job of cutting light and sound from the 3 windows.

The shower end holder was severely broken. Because it was Barcolana, the fee was exorbitant, for a 1 star property (but I had little choice). Had to carry luggage upstairs (no ramp, lift or other provision)

Central to station

Found it difficult to find despite using google maps. Entrance door was not suitably signposted as Reception not at ground floor & signs v discreet on external wall. Receptionist explained it was not hotel..

If you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay, keep looking.

It was a good location within walking distance of the city center.

The beds were so hard it was one step up from sleeping on the floor. They were also so loud (like plastic) that my friend and I kept waking each other up every time we moved. I was in the Army and can sleep just about anywhere, but couldn’t manage to do it here. They also charge 7 euros for the A/C. The person checking us in was nice, but incompetent. She put us in the third floor and after lugging our luggage up there, another staff member told us we were put in the wrong room and were actually on the first floor. Not a big deal if we weren’t so tired from traveling and the heat. She did help us with our bags, but it was annoying. Also, parking is a nightmare. If you have a car, don’t come here.

Nice place.

There was aircon, however there was a 5 euro surcharge for it (free if there were two or less of you). The location was really good, being a short walk into the main squares. One staff member spoke fluent English. The room was really big and had its own sink.

There was no soap in the bathrooms, just in the bedrooms. There should be soap in the bathrooms too.

Cozy accomodation

The owner is very friendly and supportive. We were allowed to store our luggage at arrival AND departure. Our inquiry for a quiet room was possible, many thanks for that! Spacious room with great ancient wooden floor. Comfortable beds and everything exceptional clean. Train/bus station nearby and a short walk to main square and the sea. Cafes and Pizza diner round the corner. Big supermarket on the way to train station. We will certainly come back to this cozy accomodation.

Incredible value for money. The room is basic, but the staff were very welcoming and the hotel is in an incredible location. The hotel itself was quiet and private.

The room is quite basic but we had a private bathroom and it was incredibly cheap and perfectly comfortable.

Okay for the price

Well situated very near the station and very well priced.

The toilet seat was broken which is quite unhygienic, the basin was also cracked. There was no lifts and the reception is on the first floor with the rooms above.

The location is good, room was clean and big, the furniture and beds are new, the big TV. The bathroom is large, renovated and clean.

Pensione Rittmeyer - old fashioned character and charm

Pensione Rittmeyer is classic old style accommodation. Very clean, comfortable and very central and close to Stazione Centrale. The receptionist was very considerate and as our Ryanair flight was delayed, we arrive 2 hours late but she was very welcoming and helpful. The facilities are basic but very clean, perfectly adequate for our needs and I will definitely return to the Pensione on our next visit.

I spent two nights in this pensione, and I was very happy with it.

The location was excellent, just by the train station, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It was clean and comfortable, and I will probably choose it again the next time I go there.

Excellent price-quality ratio, but be careful to arrive before 11pm.

The location is very good, near the station and near the best ice-cream shop in Trieste. The room we had was large and there was also air conditioning for a few extra euros.

Our flight was delayed and we arrived 2 hours later than expected at 1am. When I called the owner to inform about our delay, she clearly showed that she didn't like it. However, when we arrived she was very kind and gave us a much better room than we originally booked and was also very helpful. Overall we enjoyed the host and our stay.
