    Excellent location, especially if you’re taking the bus from the Shinjuku Express Bus Terminal. I walked there with luggage and there were no stairs along the way. You can also take the elevator right up to the 4th level where the bus terminal is located. Hotel is in a quieter area of Shinjuku (which is a definite plus) yet central enough with lots of budget eatery around. The APA hotel system is fairly standard, so if you’ve been changing hotels, you’d be grateful for the familiarity. Love the no-fuss self check-in (staff is present to lend a helping hand if you need). Luggage storage before check-in was a breeze. Room was of decent size if you’re used to this class of Japanese hotels. Every inch of space was thoughtfully designed. I was impressed as usual. Hotel info is available in the room TV and instruction leaflets. They also provide some instructions on how to use the common bath at the basement. An interesting feature is they tell you on the TV how busy the bath is at any time (I assume it’s real-time). The female bath was clean but besides the normal hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, cleanser, there were no other amenities. You’d have to bring your own hair tie, comb or brush. No towels. You need to bring it from your room, but my problem is having to bring back your wet towel. Water temperature at the indoor main bath was perfect. There’s a tiny area with 2 smaller tubs that is in the open air, and I thought that was a nice touch. They’re a busy hotel, but staff was always courteous and helpful. Had another wonderful stay at an APA hotel.

    Although for the price range, you might be able to get other hotels of cheaper rates and bigger rooms, but this pros of this hotel are the proximity to the subway and professional luggage services. The pools in sauna (hot bath) just seem to be too hot. Most users are unable to soak in the hot waters for long.

    Tokyo rooms are small but I wasn’t expecting how small this room was. I’m 5 11 and the shower was essentially too small for me. I had to shower in the onsen, which is great, but has an insane cleaning schedule and is closed at inconvenient times. I had an issue that my tv wouldn’t turn off and the promo screen had sound that couldn’t be muted. I had to complain three times because they would ‘fix it’ only for it to happen again. They tried to force me to be in the room while they tried to fix it too. After the first time of me sitting there in a room the size of a shoe box feeling awkward, I refused the 2nd and 3rd time and we almost got in an screaming match in the lobby because they wanted to insist I be there.

    Honestly, room size not suitable for 2 people. Really small. While all amenities provided, can find better locations with similar prices. We used the room only for sleeping and if you're like us, then it should be alright. The sad thing is that while we had an incoming reservation in 2 days, the hotel refused to store our luggage for us during that period till the next check in. Most hotels allow it but the staff didn't budge and came across as nonchalant. Everything had a price, early check in comp not possible even though it was 1.5hrs to check in time. If I wanted, pay 2k yen. 1k for every hour. Some hotels just give if the room is ready, which it was if we paid, but no concession provided here.
