Really nice hotel with loads of charm and character. No actual parking, but there's a multi storey car park opposite and cheaper than most. As the hotel is old there are no elevators and the steps could be quite challenging if you have issues. Having said that, if you can mange the stairs the rooms were really nice. We ate there also and the restaurant is really good. Not the cheapest, but great quality in a wonderful setting and is great for a treat.

This is a delightful old inn with an excellent restaurant. Parking in the spaces outside the hotel was free on Sunday until 9am Monday. Downside was we were told their Wi-Fi did not work on iPhones and the shower attachment did not work properly in room 1

This was an excellent find!!! Although not the first choice as a tourist location Valenciennes was a lovely city to visit. A really quirky old building with great facilities within walking distance of the city centre

Quite incredible extremely old hotel full of original features. My room had wooden beams and tapestries on the walls with scenes from the middle ages. The room and bathroom were very large. The restaurant was excellent.

We were delighted to discover this amazing hotel and enjoy its intriguing renaissance. We were disappointed however to find that there were no modest options on the menu - nor any house pichet of wine! - transforming what would have been a very reasonable bill into an extremely expensive outlay. We will not be able to afford a return visit under the present regime.

Beautifully preserved and renovated hotel dating from about 1560, and simply oozing with character. No aircon (unsurprising given the age of the property and probably not possible to retrofit) so it was very hot in our room, but a good fan was provided, so we managed. Excellent restaurant with a good wine list and very good service.
