Excellent hotel for stop off on route back to UK from the Alps

Great building with lots of character. Right in centre of town. Very Friendly staff and excellent food.

Old-world charm with some hitches.

Great restaurant and historic charm. Staff were helpful and it’s a beautiful building. Parking was convenient for a fee. Evening meal was amazing and very good and kind service. Amazing croissants and bread for breakfast.

Expected old world charm, but didn’t expect only a bath with shower hose. Made for an uncomfortable way to wash especially as it was a very warm day and night. Also there were a lot of spiders and even a centipede on our room despite everything looking clean and tidy. Very warm room so the fan provided was appreciated.

16th century Inn with modern comforts and good restaurant.

Wonderful old 16th century Inn in the centre of town. Quirky and fun. Huge room and very big bathroom. Excellent and unusual restaurant with lovely staff - roasting meat on a spit over a fire.

The bath towels were on the small side.

Great food and lovely large room in a very old property. Good location in the centre with public parking opposite if the free places are taken.

There was no air con as mentioned probably due to the age of the property over 600 years old. Fans were provided but in 32 degree heat not altogether effective. Our neighbours in the room above also started walking around on all the creaky floorboards in the early hours so not a good sleep. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but I did book after searching for air con in a property, so maybe the description needs to be corrected please.

Superb

Cool experience, just to be in such a home, was kinda a Time Machine, like living in a Flemish painting. Very clean, surprisingly roomy and comfortable.

would be great to have coffee/tea available in the room. Altho, we could buy it in the restaurant at the ground floor, I was missing this option in the room badly.

Stunning room in a magical setting - feel like you're stepping back in time. Staff were all keen to help. Very near the centre of town. Had lunch one day in the bistro area. Very good and affordable.

Couldn't get Wifi working. Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Prettig verblijf in een heel mooi kader.

De charme van het hotel met een geschiedenis. Warm en gezellig interieur. De locatie is prima gelegen, vlakbij het centrum. Ontbijt en diner met prachtig servies.

Badkamer was klein en basic. De vloer in de kamer liep naar beneden en was niet gelijk wat soms ongemakkelijk maakte.

Sehr schönes Haus, Nähe zur Altstadt, kleines aber feines Frühstück mit regionalen Produkten in historischem Ambiente, sehr gute Küche.

Sanitäre Mängel im Bad, Dusche und WC..sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig...in dem Zimmer, was wir dieses Jahr hatten. Kein Vergleich zum letzten Zimmer im letzten Jahr. Immer noch kein funktionierendes WLAN...wie schon beim letzten Besuch.

Une expérience inoubliable.

Ce lieu est exceptionnel, vous y aller pour vivre une expérience. Dès l'arrivée vous êtes transportée dans un univers moyen-ageux très réel. Les objets sont d'époques, les tables magnifiques. Vous devez manger au restaurant pour prolonger l'expérience. Nappe et serviette en tissu, couvert dans le thème, appéritif avec de la cochonaille, la broche dans le fond. Merci pour tout. La literie est très agréable et de qualité.

La salle de bain était un peu passée mais quand on va dans un lieu comme ça ce n'est pas ce qui est important.

Wir kommen gerne wieder

Positiv überrascht hat uns das sehr großzügige Zimmer und das sehr große Badezimmer mit tollem mittelalterlichen Ambiente. Das Zimmer bietet genügend Platz und Möglichkeiten, sich dort aufzuhalten. Im schön angelegten Innenhof konnten wir vor dem Essen einen Aperitif trinken um danach als Highlight im Restaurant neben einem sehr großen offenen Kamin ein an diesem zubereitetes Spanferkel zu genießen. Genau wie an der Rezeption war auch das Personal im Restaurant sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Angenehm war die Möglichkeit, in dem in kurzer Entfernung gelegenen Parkhaus das Auto für 11 Euro pro Nacht sicher abstellen zu können.

Niet best.

Het prima restaurant was de enige positieve ervaring in dit hotel, al moet gezegd dat het personeel zeker niet onvriendelijk was.

We waren op doorreis naar Zuid Frankrijk en hadden een paar uur tevoren vanuit de auto de overnachting geboekt, welke direct was bevestigd en van de cr'card-rekening afgeschreven. Bij aankomst kon men de boeking niet vinden. Men gaf ons een niet onaardige kamer in het historisch erg mooie pand, doch het bed was van het te superkleine formaat (130 breed) ofschoon wij expres een duurdere kamer geboekt hadden met een groot bed. Zo'n kamer was ondanks onze bezwaren niet beschikbaar, zei men ("désolé"). Het was al laat dus op zoek naar een ander hotel was geen optie, dus toe maar. Behalve de kleine afmeting bleek het bed ook nog eens door te zakken in het midden. Ongelooflijk dat dat nog voorkomt. We hebben dus verschrikkelijk slecht geslapen. Daarnaast bleek de wastafel in feite onbruikbaar omdat er een metalen stop onwrikbaar vast in zat en het water via de overloop maar langzaam doorliep. Er was voorts geen douche mogelijkheid, alleen een bad, maar zonder wand voorziening om de douchekop aan te bevestigen. De aparte toilet liep constant door, met geluidsoverlast tot gevolg. Bij check out kon men de gegevens weer (of nog steeds niet?) niet vinden en niet overtuigd dat de kamerprijs al voldaan was. Pas na tonen van de afboeking van de kamerprijs op het credit card overzicht op mijn telefoon kon alleen de rest worden voldaan. In de loop van de volgende dag kregen we bericht nagestuurd dat vanwege de 'inconvenience' € 40 werd terug geboekt. Maar dat is niet meer dan het prijsverschil tussen een kamer met een klein en een met een groot bed. De feitelijke 'inconvienence' werd daarmee dus helemaal niet vergoed.

Wir sind mit unseren 2 kleinen Hunden angereist und uns wurde ein Zimmer unterm Dach gegeben, welches nur über sehr steile Treppen zu erreichen war. Außerdem hatten wir nur ein 140 cm breites Bett ( 2 große Personen), was uns leider eine Nacht ohne Schlaf bescherte. Das Bad war sehr dunkel, duschen in einer Badewanne ohne Duschabtrennung!
