Park Hotel Kyoto

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Park hotel in Kyoto. I love the shower. The walk-in shower is huge. Bathroom is so nice. The staff were amazing very cheerful and helpful at all times they always made you feel welcome. And the location is excellent. The longer I stayed there. The more discovered was right around the corner from the hotel literally steps. They have a great five run Bakery so delicious and so many Starbucks are on almost every corner other little cafés that I thoroughly enjoyed for breakfast. I would definitely stay there again. In fact I am staying another night as I go to other more distant places I always come back to Kyoto so Park hotel is like my homebase for coming back to Kyoto. Highly recommend.

Weak WiFi in the room, if you are on the bed, WiFi will be lost. And very weak mobile network. (Ofc depends on Carriers) However, other things are very good and recommend this hotel if you’re okay above.

話が長くなるので短く言うと、ホテル宿泊前に事前に電話で予約を２泊から3泊に延長の変更をしたいので、先に新しく予約を作ってから無料キャンセルは可能かの確認をしました。その際に、アゴダから無料キャンセルリクエストを送信をしたので確認をして欲しいとお願いをしたところ、電話先の日本人の女性がメールは届いていないとの一点張り。(即答)私はホテルで勤めている人間ですので、OTAの仕組みはよくわかっています。無料キャンセルが出来ないなら出来ませんと伝えてくれれば理解はできるのですが、無料キャンセルリクエストのメールは届いていないと嘘をつくのが良くないと思いました。もちろん電話が終わった後、すぐにメールで無料キャンセルのリクエストが却下されたと私宛にメールが届きました。 結局ホテルは延長せず泊まりました。ただ、チェックイン時の外国人のスタッフのサービスはとても良く、部屋も綺麗で気持ちいいサービスを受けることができましたが、電話対応の際は、すぐに断定をする言い方は気をつけた方が良いと思います。

Hotel is in a nice location, very close to convenience stores, train station, and the markets. However, the first time was stepped into the room it reeked of body odor. There was conveniently an air purifier that we left on blast and drenched the room in air fresher. We thought having that on while we were out the next day would fix it, but we were wrong. The smell began to subside during our first night but came back when we returned the following day after the cleaners came back. The room smelled even more like BO. It came to our attention that this hotels cleaning staff was entirely of a certain demographic. The smell was definitely from them and we had to request a change of rooms. Our new room was fine until the cleaners came the following day and the smell returned. This would be our third hotel during our trip which we hadn’t had this issue come up. Lastly, the front desk staff of the same demographic was completely incompetent when checking out and almost sent our luggage to the wrong hotel until we clarified with her for a third time. Being a four star hotel, this was not a four star experience. I think this hotel is great for the location, but unless you can handle pungent body odor, look elsewhere.
