Property was very old and stinking bathrooms. No iron or iron board available. No paper tissue(facial). We were asked to use toilet paper. Staff for breakfast not friendly. No one available to help you with luggage as I have back issues. No carts were available for luggage.

There is no bellman to help with luggage; steps to navigate with luggage as entering lobby. To get to our suite, we had to take the lift 1 floor down, walk the corridor the length of hotel including 6 steps, and then take the lift up 1 floor and walk the corridor. The AC in the room did not sufficiently cool all the rooms. All restaurant dining is buffet style…like a cruise ship. The 2 nights we had dinner reservations the dining staff did not have a record of our reservation. The 2 elevators each have different numbering of the same floor levels, which is very confusing. There is NO food or snack service during non-restaurant times. We arrived at 3:10 pm after an overnight flight from Johannesburg. We hadn’t eaten since 4am and was told there was no food available until 7pm. The first 6 coffee pods complementary, after you must pay per pod at the front desk. When inquiring at the front desk ( I had the notice in the room with me), they knew nothing about that nor where the coffee was stored. I went over-the-river and thru-the woods twice to get coffee pods. Coffee creamer and sugar was not replenished daily. There is very limited service in the bar area; we mostly had to go inside to ask for service. No Kleenex in the bathroom and very poor quality soap, shampoo, etc. on the day of departure, 1 of the elevators was out of order, so we had to had carry our luggage up steps. Then there was a car double-parked behind us. Beautiful views; dining staff was lovely. No recommend

The stay at Hotel Splendid Palace was amazing, the staff were welcoming and accommodating. Food and drink were lovely and the two pools had beautiful views of the lake.

This hotel is set in a stunning location with sweeping views of breathtaking Limone and the Lake . Everything is on your doorstep here . Ferries , buses , e-bikes . That said the staff are the best thing about it - nothing is too much trouble - very professional and friendly

Hotel in a lovely position with excellent views. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast was ok with plenty of choice. Evening meal buffet style wasn't great but we only ate there the first night. There was loads of choices of restaurants very close. Ask reception for for code to the separate pool down the footpath which also leads to the lake so you can take a dip if it's ridiculously hot like it was when we went. Enjoy.

Although we enjoyed our stay you definitely pay for the view and not the interior. The room was clean but dated, had to ask for the AC to be put back on (which they did) but was not good. The WiFi didn’t work on first evening, reported and they could only mend in the morning which they did. Was offered to move room in the morning but it was just okay for my husband to work so stayed. Overall the view was incredible but would look elsewhere to stay next time.

We stayed in the suite with panoramic views. It was amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. Waking up to the view of the lake, the whirlpool, bathtub and shower. The bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. The room was decorated to a high standard. The only suggestion I have is that the aircon didn't work properly. It wasn't overly warm so it wasn't a problem but if it had been warmer I would have been uncomfortable. Also, the wi-fi does not reach the room - for the price paid, I would expect that as a minimum. Walking through the hotel, and looking at some of the pictures on the website, most of the other rooms are all dated and I feel would benefit from being updated. The breakfast was simple and had a good variety. I would recommend a bigger outdoor seating space as there were only aa few spaces. The staff were lovely. They were pleasant and ready to help.

Phenomenal views from both room balcony and the restaurant/bar terrace. Food was top par and bar variety was great. Our only faults we found were that your room is equipped with a safe but you have to pay €1 per day for the key to use it and WiFi is also charged at €1 per device per day and is exceptionally slow. We stayed here for 8 Nights in July and had a fantastic holiday.

The hotel room was like taken from the late 70’s with the bad ugly carpet and the bathroom was super small with a shower so small that a normal person could not move! No door so you could close the bathroom.. But the worst was all the stupid roles that was in 1970-1980!! Rules for towels, food and pool. You had to rent (!!!) a key to be able to use the security box?!?! They had Wifi but only if you pay!! Today that’s not normal for hotels in Europe. But it was clean. I cannot give any good recommendations for this hotel.
