Beautiful beach, comfortable bed & good shower, clean & perfect for what we needed. Food was good in the Similan restaurant & breakfast also really good. Staff were friendly & helpful. Was a 400thb taxi ride into bang Niang night market so away from the centre but quiet for us & a short transfer to the pier for the early bird Similan island tour we booked in advance. Was perfect weather at Similan but cloudy & rainy when we got back so didn’t get any time on the beach but was certainly a beautiful beach.

Everything about this hotel is marvellous ,from check in and to check out .suite was very comfortable , with small kitchen which was most useful and fridge The beds are so comfortable with the best linen.This was our 5th visit to this hotel and we look forward to returning .The hotel is located on a beautiful white sandy beach and perfect swimming in the sea .If you want a relaxing beach holiday this is a gem and perfect ,All the employees are so kind & courteous and nothing is too much trouble for them .Reservations gave us the suite we requested which was excellent .The cleaner Nattachet in our suite due to a mistake by myself found an envelope on the floor containing a large amount of money it was not touched this is a testement to the hotel and his personal honesty.The breakfast was very good with lots of choice ,the restaurant also served wonderful meals .i can highly recommend this hotel . .

The Kantary Beach Hotel is quite a 15-20 minute drive north of Khao Lak. As it turned out we were quite happy with that, as Khao Lak is a typical busy tourist town, lacking in any great character. The Hotel did offer regular minibus transfers to and from Khao Lak, on chargeable basis, but we never fealt the need to visit Khao Lak. Instead we spent a few days relaxing by the Hotel pools, and strolling along the beautiful Coconut Beach. We did sample the Hotel restaurant on our first evening, but found it expensive and lacking in atmosphere, compared to what we had experienced elsewhere in Thailand. For others evening dinners we preferred to walk along the beach to a small selection of on the beach local restaurants, where we dined in candlelight as the waves gently rolled in. The local food was delicious and drinks reasonably priced. Our Hotel suite was very spacious and well appointed. Overall a nice place to stay with some good value dining within easy walking distance along the beach.

Second time there. Hotel very remote, you need transportation to go anywhere. Beach splendid, nearly empty as usual in Kao Lak and bungalows very confortable. Food and drinks absolutely correct. Is frequented mainly by old people (like myself!)

Was only at this location for one night. Great beach, pools, villa was nice with outdoor shower. But.. tried one of their restaurants for dinner, on property and was very disappointed!! I ordered shrimp and it was smelly and I sent it back. Went down the beach a short way to find a fun place for food and drink.

We were transferring to a dive boat so did not use the beach or the massage though both look good. The visibility for snorkeling was nil, unfortunately, though there were great tide pools.

The villa was ideally located being close to the beach and restaurants, it was quiet and very private and we overlooked trees that were full of birds, squirrels, lizards so it was very interesting. The outdoor shower was a bonus. Pool areas were clean and well maintained and the staff pleasant. However, there were notices banning nappy-wearing babies but this wasn't policed. The shuttle bus worked well into town with a charge of 100Bhats each way. The hotel Is a bit isolated with just one restaurant, which is excellent, close by and where we ate most of the time, so a bike or car would be handy, otherwise use the shuttle bus. We had a great 10 days holiday but wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. Smoking throughout the hotel should be introduced.

Very peacefull, essentially older people staying there. Price for room and food very competitive. Beach excellent and not a lot of people there. Pity clients stand up at 0600 to block chairs in the shadow for whole day. Only a aggressive briefing about that thematic at check in can make client's behavior more social.

It was fine but more like a mass complex as opposed to the boutique beach places. The beach and ocean are good especially with the unique, large tree that are growing right out of the far edge of the beach. When we were there jelly fis were in the water so not a good idea to swim. It is somewhat isolated but breakfast and staff were excellent.

We absolutely loved this resort for our honeymoon. The staff were so great. We especially loved the restaurant manager. He was the best! The massages on the beach were incredible. The resort itself is so beautiful and quite. Perfect for couples.

We recently stayed here for 5 nights and immediately fell in love with the place... We opted for the villa which was very clean and comfortable. Right on white sandy beach so was perfect for relaxing. Staff couldn't be any more accommodating and helpful. Went on a couple of trips through the hotel that were well managed and a great experience. Choice and quality of food was great. All in all just perfect.

An extremely comfortable king size bed, nice size en-suite bathroom, with 'outdoor' shower (it has walls, no roof) [Indoor shower also, but we never used it], and it has a nice living area with TV, bar fridge and sink. Accommodation was clean and felt quite new. Oh, and 2 A/C units for when you need them. We found that 1 was more than enough. There are limited eating options unless you go 'outside' the resort, but we did not find that to be necessary. They have a high class restaurant, and a general meals restaurant. We didn't bother with the fancy one, The Thai food on offer at the standard option was delicious. They do western food too, but if you're in Thailand, eat local. Clearly their marketing is very good in Western and Eastern Europe, as almost all guests seemed to be European. That worked out great for us, as it meant we had shade wherever we went. The Europeans come over to bake in the sun. I'm from Australia and avoid too much exposure if possible; So, that perfect spot under the tree on the beach was all ours! I'd class the resort as a good honest place to stay. All the amenities you need, without the pomp and ceremony that some others may have.

We stayed for 9 nights in villa unit in August 2015 with our 7 year old child. We loved every minute ! - What sets Kantary beach apart from every other hotel in Thailand is the hotel's staff. They are all genuinely friendly and helpful. We were warmly greeted by the guest relations manager, general manager, duty manager and food & beverage manager, chefs, cocktail bar attendant, beach boys, and all waiters every time we saw them. They made special Birthday cake for our daughter as a surprise and a special table setting and wedding anniversary cake for my wife and I, and many other little gratuities. The room had an indoor and outdoor shower, bath, microwave, plates, cutlery, wine glasses and 6 drinking glasses, medium fridge, king bed, plently of drawers and balcony. We have travelled to Europe and Asia for 21 years and no other hotel comes close. This was our third stay here and still are amazed at the variety of breakfast buffets, seaside pools, staff politeness, and the tasteful gardens with an amazing beach front which is natural and unspoilt (unlike Phuket, and Kaolak main centre). We ate at the resort restaurant 8 times and no trouble with food. It was reasonably priced and enough Thai and Western menu options. For our child they reduce the spice. There is also a free shuttle bus to main town and planned activities most days of the week.
