The actual resort was fine and the staff was nice, but the client populations (the tourists) was anything but friendly. For some reason, my boyfriend and I were outcasted, treated poorly, and harassed by multiple other people at the resort. Not sure if it’s because we’re an interracial couple, but it got to the point where it was extremely uncomfortable. After a whole incident at breakfast where my boyfriend was followed around the breakfast area (and I was stared down and mean mugged all throughout breakfast by multiple other tourists), we finally deemed that we had enough and checked out within 24hrs of being there. Unfortunately, the resort doesn’t deem this a valid reason for leaving early , so we got no sort of refund. They wouldn’t even comp my 1 drink on the tab (which I was fully prepared to pay, but c’mon man. After that horrendous 24hr period, you’d think they give me some slack here). Overall, great place to stay if you’re an older German couple. But if you’re anything out of that category, be prepared to be uncomfortable the entire time. We booked another resort in a separate town and left immediately. Will not be coming back to Khao Lak.

Lovely big swim up room. The biggest and comfiest bed ever ! The best hotel shower we’ve ever had ! Beautiful gardens throughout the hotel and there’s an army of staff to keep it clean. The hotel sits right on the beach and the views out to sea are amazing.

Stunning accommodation with a wonderful food options each morning breakfast was so relaxing sitting by the beach eating the great selection of foods available for the guest at this Resort. Definitely would stay here again when returning to Thailand.

Great Stay. Staff are friendly and helpful, check in was easy, received a welcome drink and snack, porter took us and bags in a buggy to the room and member of staff pointed out areas if interest on the way. Room was modern, clean and spacious. Nice large shower. Bottle water provided daily. Wifi all over the resort and no issues with signal. Beach front and beach towels provided. Food and drink as expected is expensive at the hotel. Shops just out side the hotel and plenty of restaurants minutes walk away.

The check in was abrupt and not welcoming; the priority was to sell us as much as possible via an app they wanted us to download. We barely had time to draw breath! The hotel grounds and facilities were lovely and well kept but the atmosphere around the hotel was impersonal not particularly friendly and there didnt seem to be many happy people appreciating being in a little piece of paradise. We spent as much time away from there as possible.

Love La Flora, this was our 9th stay. Convenient for local restaurants and market. Staff are great, location on the beach is fantastic, especially for sunset happy hour with a cocktail or two while watching the setting sun.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach and with lots of local restaurants just outside. We all had a wonderful time, especially our 3 year old. Breakfast was great. Restaurant was quite expensive for dinner so we didn't book to try it but the restaurants near by are great quality and so cheap! Cocktails were amazing. All the staff at the pool bar in the main pool were lovely and great with kids. We had the most basic day room but it was spacious with a huge bed and a lovely walk in shower. The air con was amazing and kicked in quickly when we got back to the room.
