    Traveling in a group of 4 that included 2 older kids, we really appreciated the size of the rooms at the Mimaru hotels. We visited this location between visits to Tokyo and Osaka. The luggage forwarding made it so easy. When we arrived in Kyoto, check in was very easy. They had already placed our luggage in our room before we had even arrived! The room was spacious and perfect for our group. The toilet was also in a separate room from the bathroom so that helped us stagger everyone when getting ready in the mornings. The location was within easy walking distance to a lot of restaurants and things to do. The staff at this Mimaru was also exceptional! They spoke several different languages and were very helpful in trying to get some appointments resolved for us when we ran into issues. The laundry facilities were very convenient and we were even able to borrow laundry baskets and dryer balls from the front desk. We didn’t even have to worry about detergent because it was included and automatically dispensed by the washing machine. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again if/when we return to Kyoto!

    Extremely comfortable for family of 4 adults. Beds are hard but that is the usual in Japan. We had space to walk around, area with dining table. But if you want to cook they also have a stove, fridge and complete utensils. 7-11 ver close by. Train station a bit far. Would definitely stay here again because of the space and amenities.

    The 2bdrm is perfect for a family of 4. The small kitchen is nice for days we don't want to eat out, especially when local breakfast restaurants open late. The front desk and cleaning staff are very nice and helpful. The only problem i have is that it is a 20 minute walk to the kyoto station. There is a bus stop 4 minutes from the hotel but it takes about the same amount of time to get to the kyoto station. I would stay here again if I go back to kyoto
