琥珀 Apartment Hotel Kyoto

這次到日本有住大阪跟京都飯店，琥珀的洗衣機非常棒，Toshiba 洗脫烘，這個洗衣機的烘乾是真的可以在2個小時完成也能乾，還有4種高級品牌的柔軟精可以選真的很棒，就算沒有乾也能放在浴室（裡面有衣服烘乾功能）可惜浴室沒有根子或是曬衣服線，房間很大還有廚房，但不建議自己煮，油煙味很重影響睡眠品質，服務人員也非常友善 住宿門口有巴士可以到四条還有京都車站，清水寺可以坐計程車去，我們3人坐才日幣600多，還能搶清晨7點沒人的時候，五条離熱鬧的百貨街走路約20分鐘，巴士約3站

棉被太新布料沒有洗軟很可惜，附近便利商店太少

Highly recommend, I even extended my original stay! As of May 2026, this is a very new hotel, so things are all very clean. The rooms (which are huge btw!) give a great impression as soon as you come in, and it doesn’t fail to surprise you with all the other carefully thought out details and features (for example, all the doors are soft close- not something you explicitly look for in a hotel, but overall adds to the more “luxury” feel). The rooms feel very high quality and well designed. One unexpected benefit, the wifi is AWESOME! 300MB+ symmetric speed, 13ms latency. Simply amazing if you need to be doing any remote work or calls. Location-wise, it’s quite good but not perfect. For most of my destinations I had to use the subway, which was about a 9 minute walk away, but there are buses within 1m walk that take you many other places as well. Kawaramachi is about 15m walking distance away. But the surrounding area has everything you need, from cafes you can work out of (Fab Cafe just around the corner), to a large grocery across the street (Fresco), to a pharmacy just down the street (Welcia), etc. There is a small but mighty fitness room. Not sure I can say I’ve stayed in a hotel with a smith machine before! Made excellent use of this while here. Note you have to book it to use it, though It was always available when I wanted it since this is such a small hotel (<20 rooms total). I would LOVE to stay again– although I imagine the prices might increase in the future as the hotel gets more reviews! At the prices at the time I booked (low-mid $200s USD, last-minute and during a very busy time in Kyoto), it presented an amazing value in my opinion due to its size and unmatched quality.

The room lock (passcode lock, no room keys) can be a little finicky to use sometimes, but no other notable points of criticism really. Note that the hotel is on a main, large road, but the balcony door/windows seem to be double pane glass as the noise difference between inside and outside the balcony is huge. The background noise was no problem for me, but if you are ultra-sensitive to noise, this hotel might not be for you.

Alles was gloednieuw en luxe. We zaten in de suite op de 9e verdieping met twee slaapkamers, twee toiletten en zeer ruim, stijlvol en mooi van opzet. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Direct ernaast is een supermarkt en de metro is ook heel dichtbij.

De ramen zijn niet geluidsdicht. Er is veel elektrische aansturing nodig voor de verschillende apparaten, die enkel in het Japans staat. Google Translate is daarom vaak nodig. Een Engelse uitleg was fijn geweest.
