    This lovely hotel has been flawlessly planned in every detail. It is a blessing to return after a full day in the city, and enter into this stripped back, pure style and beauty. You are met with a great deal of hospitality and the most friendly staff.

    Excellent stay and excellent staff. Room was faultless, with a nice jap bathtub and choice of bath salt on checkin. Bar Fridge was filled with generous selection of Juices, Beer and a bottle of Sake too!. Kyoto sweets, rice crackers too in room. Selection of tealeafs and coffee capsules in the room. Miyagi Beef set dinner included at their restaurant and was excellent and with a generous menu. Similar for the sumptuous Jap Breakfast set. Worth every cent that you pay for. Around the hotel is a quiet neighbourhood and the nearest train station is Shichijo. We took a taxi to Kyoto Station to and fro. Not expensive and below S$20. I would suggest making this Junei Hotel a destination to chill and relax more than a hotel.

    The staff was amazingly helpful and accommodating. I had a few bad experiences: 1. The rooftop was under renovation, so I wasn't able to experience the sauna/fireplace. 2. The evening clothing had a bad odor, as if it had never been washed. 3. Limited facilities, including laundry, etc. The rest was good, especially the complimentary drinks in the fridge.
