LOISIR HOTEL KYOTO TOJI

Great clean room with lots of space. Option for included breakfast, it did not disappoint. Good location to explore Kyoto for a few days. 15 min walk from the Kyoto station

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Avanti where the airport bus stops and where most day tours groups meet. It is 5 minutes walk to Aeon Mall and the opposite Kyoto station. The rooms are spacious enough to open medium-sized luggages. The bathroom has standing shower in separate cubicle from the toilet bowl so there is privacy should anyone need to use the toilet. Howevwr only 1 pillow was given on each bed so I had to use the cushion from the long sofa to prop up my head because the pillow is flat. There are ameniries provided at the lift lobby. Two types of juice are available during the day at the lift lobby. The bell man was helpful. He approached us and asked if we need help. Please note that one has to pay accomodation tax per pax per night. Mine was ard $4 per pax per night.

It was a good stay minus the Kyoto Accommodation Tax charged upon us as extra payment to be paid at the reception counter. Apparently, it was not included in our Agoda payment. It was not cheap as they charge per person per night. Room size was small, able to fit 2 adults with 2 cabin-size luggage and has minimal space to walk. Basic room and bathroom amenities are provided and you can take any extra amenities you need on the table opposite the lifts at lobby floor for free. Sometimes, there are free juice drinks available next to the amenities table. Only managed to drink one time in the afternoon. The rest of the time when we left in the morning and came back at night, they were not available. Pyjamas and hotel slippers are provided in the room. If you requests extra amenities e.g. pillows or iron at the receptionist, they will give it to you there and then instead of delivering it to your room. They should have delivered it to the room instead of letting an elderly woman carrying the iron and iron board from lobby up to the room with her bags and all. Public bath available but we didn't use it. They have separate bath for men and women with women having a different key card to access. Washing machines are available at JPY 600 for 3kg + normal dry, JPY 500 for 1kg + less dry, and JPY 300 for 6 kg wash only. Did the 3kg load which runs for 2H and it was still damp. So, added 'dry more' which runs for 30 mins for JPY 100. The washing machine availability on the TV is not live. Go down yourself to check. The hotel is ab 10 mins walk from Kyoto Station. Alternatively, can take a bus to the nearest bus stop which is ab 2 mins walk. Check out at early hours is through a check out machine. Just select your language, read the prompts and you'll get it done within 5 mins.
