The gentleman at the front desk took a look at the two of us and said “you can have my parking space” It was right in front of the building. I never moved my car the rest of the week and did not miss it at all. everything i needed was within walking distance. the staff is so helpful and politeTo say that my granddaughter and I had a fabulous time would be in an understatement. stay here you won’t regret it. Plus, you’ll probably book for next year too. They go fast.

This is our second summer staying at the Ocean Palms and we love it! Proximity to the beach can’t be beat. We love the hot tub and pool too. We also appreciate the ability to borrow towels and boogie boards because it makes our beach trips so much easier!

This place is amazing. I would have given 5 stars but the beds were very uncomfortable. We switched rooms to an upgraded sweet because we decided to stay an extra day. The bed in the upgrade was even more uncomfortable I could feel the springs on my back it felt like a motel 6 bed. My back is still soar from those beds. Hopefully they upgrade the mattresses because we would love to go back and make it a yearly relaxation vacation.

The location is excellent—peaceful, quiet, and very clean. One downside was the mattress, which was extremely soft. I don’t have back issues, but I still found it uncomfortable; those with back problems might want to take note. One suggestion: During our stay, the weather was chilly, and having a fire would’ve made sitting outside much more enjoyable. They lit the fire only around sunset The complimentary coffee was a nice touch and was available almost every time we checked. However, the breakfast was underwhelming—mostly a few types of cookies that didn’t change daily. A bit more variety would go a long way.

We spent 3 lovely nights at this well kept resort. Right across the street (3 flights of stairs down) to a beautiful beach. We loved the Polynesian style of the hotel! Nice fire pits and outdoor fireplace in the courtyard for cool coastal evenings. The room was well appointed with a large jacuzzi soaking tub. In April it was very quiet but I can only imagine what summer might be like! Comfy king bed and good Starbucks coffee and tea selection for breakfast along with fresh fruit, juices, packaged pastries and yogurt. Just right to start the day! We will return!

Had a wonderful stay here with an ocean view so close I could hear the waves crashing into the sand, and the beach is just a few steps away. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, easygoing too. The room was well furnished, in good condition overall. The sofa bed came in handy as a makeshift sleeping area for our 5 month old. They have a well stocked breakfast grab and go and Starbucks coffee station, excellent way to start the day! We enjoyed our stay and we will stay again to enjoy even more of the amenities. This is not to say that there aren’t a few small things to work on… 1. The water flow from the bathroom sink faucet was super low, yet the pressure in the shower was aggressively strong. Both could use some adjusting. 2. The freezer had a rusted metal shelf and didn’t seem clean to use. 3. Parking within the property is limited, it is possible to get a spot as other guests check out, but I parked a little far away until a closer spot opened up, which was not that bad as it is a safe area, just something to be ready for. — that’s all I could find as issues, and the positive points definitely outnumber it. Overall a great establishment and worth the price.

We loved our stay at Ocean Palms! I came here for a trip with my sister and my nieces and we had a great time. We loved how close we were to the beach (like a 30 second walk). The pool and hot tub area was great and there were plenty of tables and chairs to eat meals outside. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Will absolutely be staying here again.

We stayed a second time at this resort (10 nights first time and now 11 nights). Very easy to get from the airport without a car (free airport shuttle to Old Town and Coaster train to Carlsbad). In Carlsbad it was around a 5 min walk from the station to the hotel. If you have no car you can walk about 15 minutes to the grocery store if you would like to cook. There’s plenty of dining options around!!! Everything is very near the hotel. The hotel’s territory is beautiful and clean, very green with palm trees and flowers. There’s a little pool, hot tub, fitness center, and fire pits outside where you can relax after sunset. Rooms are very beautiful and comfortable ( TV set in every room). We rented 2 bdr units with a kitchen both times. I saw there is a kitchenette in every 1 bdr unit as well but you may need to double check this before booking. We had a full set of kitchen utensils plus pots, pans, can-opener, etc, along with a full stove and oven, and a full size fridge. Every morning you can get breakfast at the front office. There’s juice, yogurt, doughnuts and fresh fruits, snacks. Front desk people are very friendly and helpful. They are available from 7:00-23:00. You may contact someone after 23:00 by your unit’s landline phone. One downside was the internet lagging or cutting out frequently in about half of our unit this time. Otherwise, it is incredibly ( few steps) near the ocean and our favorite place to stay! Thank you!!!
