Mirage

We had a great stay at Hotel Mirage while visiting Rome and a few other places while in Italy. We stayed at the hotel for 9 nights. The staff was great, Anthony, Daniel, and Robert were all very accommodating and a great help during our time at the hotel, and we enjoyed seeing them each day. Breakfast is a continental breakfast; rooms are clean and functional, and staff cleans them each day. The hotel is older however it is kept well. If you are looking for a place to use as a base while in Rome I recommend staying at Hotel Mirage.

The location was great. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were comfortable. Wifi was very weak. We would stay here again

When we arrived, we were greeted by an older gentleman who did not speak any English at all. There was also a lady there who did speak English. She was actually really friendly. The gentleman seemed kind of annoyed at us and made it seem like he didn’t want us there, but thankfully that lady was there to help us check in. A thing I noticed was that the hallways had a very strong smell of humidity. Don’t know where that actually came from because their rooms had no smell at all. We had stayed here before so we knew it was kind of like, but when we checked out the other gentleman who was there charged us to leave our luggage there for a couple of hours seems kind of wrong since we are clients of theirs it’s not like we came out of nowhere and wanted to store our luggage there. The gentleman who checked this out, also did not speak any English at all, which also made it a bit difficult.

The room was clean and met our needs. Convenient location from Termini station. We are just very American lol. Room was located in an apartment building, 2 blocks from the reception/lobby. We were given directions, and found the building, but had a lot of issues finding the room. My husband had to go back to reception for new instructions. Lots of stairs and a very scary European elevator. Otherwise, fine. Room service came once a day to replenish towels and toilet paper. They held our bags for us at the lobby for free before check in, too.
