We enjoyed this hotel for its traditional Japanese style. The room was clean but the conditions of the carpet and other furniture was run down and needed to be updated. The staff was kind though their English wasn’t too great. The location was perfect and Kyoto was an amazing city

Really impressed with our stay here. The room was huge and far more spacious than we expected, as well as beautifully presented and very comfortable.
The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and went out of their way to assist us, even patiently persevering with a translation app to make sure we understood everything and had what we needed. Such lovely service and it made a big difference to our experience.
The only slight downside was the carpet had a few stains, however the room was very clean.
Excellent location in Gion and would definitely stay again.
