Very welcoming and helpful front deak and pleasant, fresh and clean room. The breakfast room is a bit of a scrum and the fare is industrial - which is a pity when a light Greek breakfast is a delight. Why do hotels think holidaymakers want plastic cheese and ham and minute glasses of juice from a machine? If you want FRESH oj you need to ask then order then wait. 4.5e -in Greece! The coffee on the standard menu is from an antiquated machine. They will make you a fresh coffee but, again, you need to ask as it won't be offered. No charge this time. Not the greatest coffee. Terrible bread and supermarket grade pastries. There is a large pleasant pool but, yet again, a weird set-up. If you want a pool towel the rigmarole is that you ask at the pool, they send you to reception who give you a token, you then exit the hotel, walk down the street, cross a road ( I kid you not), locate the gym and finally get a towel. Repeat the journey back. Oh and repeat that each time you want the towel replaced. Why there is not a towel service set up in the ample free space round the pool itself was never explained. This is a decent, inexpensive base and handy for the beach at the busier end of Rthymno but it has a fair bit to go before being near a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is large, but provides personal attention and care for each guest. Very kind staff. Good breakfast and dinner.
