When we arrived, the room we had booked was not available and as we were given a smaller room instead and a bar tab to cover the balance.
The room was nicely decorated but there was nowhere to hang clothes, the luggage rack was broken, there was lots of dust and very little space to put toiletries in the bathroom.
A tower fan was in the room but with the high summer temperatures it was still very hot and because the location is on the main road through Greenwich, the traffic noise meant we kept the windows shut which made sleep difficult.
There is no option for breakfast, as they only do food during pub opening hours, but there are plenty of places nearby to get some.
The pub itself was ok, but the toilets weren’t great and the garden, or yard as it is really, needs updating. There was also dog mess in both the garden area and the alleyway outside, which is where you access the rooms.
Early in the morning after our first night the fire alarm went off and while we were evacuating it was determined to be a false alarm. For the rest of our stay the fire panel continued to show a fault and beeped intermittently.

If you want a coinvent bed for the night above a pub this is perfect. Clean with friendly staff and coffee making facilities it was an ideal stay.

Incredibly narrow and steep stairs to floor where rooms located. We didn't have suitcases which was just as well as getting up the bend in the stairs would have been nigh on impossible. Bed was comfortable and the linen clean but the radiator didn't work in the bedroom and the window was very draughty. There may have been some coat hooks on the wall once but they were missing with marks left on the wall and nowhere to hang anything. The carpet was stained. The bathroom was clean but the shower was very difficult to control, either too hot or cold.
There was a hairdryer in the bathroom but there was no mirror in the bedroom so the bathroom mirror was the only one available so impossible to use for the hairdryer.
