The hotel was fairly close to restaurants and shops, and since we drove in from Liberia, it was also easy to get in and out of, without having to enter the main district of La Fortuna.
Rooms were a little dated, but the pool area was nice and restaurant/bar offered many options as well.
Free parking and free breakfast were also helpful when getting picked up for early morning excursions.

Hotel was in a great location and was extremely clean. Staff very helpful and friendly and pool area nice, though small and not a lot of chairs for the amount of guests that the hotel can accommodate.
The rooms weee extremely clean, and had a nice balcony. The rooms were, however, basic. No decor on the walls and no accent walls like in the pictures . My biggest gripe? As a woman, I need a full length mirror! One little tiny mirror above the sink was not helpful and even pulling the chair into the bathroom to stand one dud not help when dressing.
Also, the elevator broke on our second day. Climbing three flights of stairs multiple times a day to the fourth floor was very difficult for me with bad knees and especially difficult when leaving on our last day and having to haul our luggage down the stairs.
