Service dog with service papers was rejected. Traveled 10 hours and needed sleep. France law requires to not discriminate and hotel expressed that they are above the law.

Good value for the money and easy accessible. We only were in Besancon for one night during traveling back home from Bordeaux. Overall the hotel shows good value for the money. Breakfast was of good quality and good selection. Only the bathroom needs to be updated, especially the toilet.

Car parking poor. The car park was full and the overflow arrangement with the local railway station is not user friendly. It took 30 mins to exit car park with hotel issued tickets which fail to raise exit barrier. Separately, wifi not accessible . Not acceptable in today’s age. Hotel layout weird and signage to some rooms disappears long before you’re close to room. I would not return to this hotel.

Lovely hotel room although it is a premium room. Very spacious with toilet separate to shower room. It looks like it would wheelchair friendly. Lovely shower one downside is the small hand basin. Very difficult to use without splashing water everywhere. Great location right next to the station and if the walk into the old town seems too far, the tram takes you into the centre.

Perfect stay for a family weekend. The hotel and rooms look new and the staff was friendly. The location was ideal for us as we had a car, hence appreciated the gated parking at a reasonable rate. This hotel is a healthy walk from the center, or an easy tram ride, which you need to do for the restaurants and sights. We also paid for breakfast which was excellent, especially the locally produced jams and jellies. Overall a good stay.

A great little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. If you're arriving or leaving by train the proximity to the station is excellent. It's a bit of a walk down to the river and old town but if you can't be bothered walking the tram stop is right next door. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good with lots of variety.

Had a lovely stay. This hotel is a ten minute walk from the River crossing. Buffet breakfast was yummy, which included little omlets. A point to note, although this hotel advertises as a non-smoking facility, smoking is allowed in the small garden courtyard. If you leave your window open, the smoke rises up and your room will smell of smoke, which incurs a $150 Euro charge. Luckily, as non-smokers we quickly smelt our room filling with smoke, closed the windows and were mindful not to open them for the duration of our stay.
