We had a very nice time at this hotel, with no real complaints. The electrical setup requires that you put your room card into a slot on the wall to turn power on, meaning the supplied mini-fridge doesn't stay on while you're away from the room. This appears to be common in many parts of Europe to help reduce power consumption. Not a bad idea, but keeping the fridge on a dedicated power line would have been nice so we could have kept some food or drinks cold. We also had a top floor room, and had about 55 steps up narrow stairways to reach it. Quaint, but if you can't do steps easily be aware there is no elevator as this is a fairly old building! The view was nice, although we could only see a small sliver of the Grand Canal. The walk to the Rialto Bridge was less than 10 minutes. This hotel is also a little tricky to find, luckily I looked at the Google street view maps in detail before our trip and found it without problem. Otherwaise it would be very easy to miss!

Great Location and Excellent Value in Venice We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is extremely convenient, especially for exploring Venice on foot. It is very close to the Rialto Bridge, Rialto Mercato, and gondola station, with many great restaurants and sightseeing options nearby. Despite being so central, the area was quiet and relaxing, which was a big plus after spending the day exploring Venice. One of the best features for us was the supermarket and local market nearby. We could easily buy water, beer, good wine by the bottle, fresh fruit, and other items at much lower prices than buying everything at restaurants. Having the Rialto Mercato so close was especially convenient for getting fresh food and snacks without paying restaurant markups. Another major advantage is the easy airport transfer. The hotel is close to the Alilaguna station, making it very convenient to travel between the airport and Venice without needing an expensive taxi or complicated transportation. The hotel is also very close to public transportation, making it easy to get around Venice without needing a taxi. Overall, the combination of location, convenience, quiet surroundings, access to transportation, nearby affordable food options, and easy airport access made this a great choice for our stay in Venice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.
