The room door was not closing-the repairman came at midnight after 10 minutes of trying to repair he said it will take at least one hour. They didn’t want to change our room. We had to use a chair to close and secure the door. We asked for a refund at the reception and they said it’s not possible- only by email and the manager didn’t want to talk to us over the phone. While doing our checkout the repair man was trying to repair and was still working on it when we left. Ultimately the management responded to my claim stating that we didn’t want to repair at midnight therefore it wasn’t their problem after multiple exchanges by email we did not receive any reimbursements or apologize- avoid this place until management is changed. There is enough better place in this area.

Loved the resort, especially the peace and quiet being an adult only hotel. The walk up to Oia is a bit of a workout, but we didn’t mind. We walked it up and back at least twice a day to get to restaurants, shopping and to see the beautiful sunsets.

I didn't have a hot tub, but I had a heated pool, that was the perfect wnding to my evenings. The room was spacious and very clean, a powerful shower and I appreciated the safe too. I could watch the sunset from my terrace, which was amazing. Staff was friendly and at disposal. I would probably have liked a bit more privacy, as half of the people going to their room would have passed outside mine, but I would definitely stay again in the same room or in a couple of others I have seen.

Staff were all incredible, resort was small but spacious and beautiful. Room was excellent as was the breakfast. Only 10 mins walk into centre of Oia. Only slight negative was the walk was a bit steep on way into town centre... But downhill on way back to resort!

My Gucci sneakers and my friends sneakers got stolen from the room 17 where I was staying in Elea, their stuff got in the room to clean the it which wasn’t even clean by the time we came back, they literally came in to just changed the towels and take our belongings… Their excuse was that they thought the shopping bag was garbage. As we talk with the from desks, they were been rude, mean, avoidant, disrespectful and they didn’t provide any solution to the issue eventho they accepted the bag was taken by their stuff, they still didn’t let us know their names, they didn’t let us use their phones, they refuse to give us a report of the incident.

We had an issue with ants in our room — even in our bed! When we reported it, they only gave us a new sheet. So we had to sleep with ants in our bed that night. Nothing was done when we reported it, although they did mention that it was a known problem. It’s very unfortunate that no immediate solution was provided.

Americans should not stay here-- horrible service-- had to keep moving us for problems in room and then couldn't care less. Refused to let us speak to supervisor. Tried to intimidate us and then interfered with our private driver on a day trip. Paid $2000 to have them ruin our stay. Stay elsewhere.

The property was beautiful and clean. The options of 2 different pools and our own outdoor tub was amazing. The staff were helpful in arranging transfers and contacting our tour operators. It was far enough away from town to be quiet, but easily walkable for dinner and shopping. We highly recommended Elea!!

1/5 – Completely Misled by Ella Resorts and Let Down by Expedia We are extremely disappointed with our stay at Ella Resorts, specifically the Plunge Pool or Plunge Home accommodation. The booking was completely misleading. The photos on the listing clearly showed a modern, usable kitchen — which was one of the main reasons we booked this particular room. So we came fully prepared with food and supplies, expecting to cook and enjoy meals during our stay. To our shock and frustration, none of the kitchen facilities worked. The oven, stove, and microwave were all non-functional, and there were no kitchen utensils or appliances available to use. It was essentially a decorative kitchen — and completely useless. This was never made clear in the listing, and we believe we were misled by the marketing and imagery used. When we raised the issue with Expedia, all they offered was a £50 refund — which honestly felt like a slap in the face considering how much this impacted our trip. Between the false advertising from Ella Resorts and the inadequate response from Expedia, we felt completely let down. This experience ruined a significant part of our holiday. Future guests should be warned: do not trust the photos alone. If you’re expecting a usable kitchen, double and triple check in writing because the listing is not clear and the resort takes no accountability. This was our first time booking with Ella Resorts — and it will absolutely be our last.

This property was in a great location! Staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. Highly recommend to stay here again. It is a quite a hike up to the Blue Domes. I would recommend to get a taxi to drive you up. Great location to see the sunset.

Beautiful resort with great room options and great value. A short uphill trek to the main village - it's steep but not bad at all as long as you're in reasonable shape. The included breakfast is excellent and delivered at whatever time you want. We had a small issue with our AC which took a day to fix but the staff were kind and helpful throughout

Beautiful quiet resort in Oia. Views are amazing and sunset is spectacular. Resort is clean and staff are very friendly. Don’t let the size of this resort stop you from ordering food. We were not sure what we were going to get as we didn’t see anyone eating but we ordered and it was outstanding! Over the top delicious! Only noted things would be breakfast is not made to order like it says in Expedia. But it was a fantastic spread of fresh continental breakfast. Hotel was also advertised as non smoking but that was not the case as people were smoking cigarettes and cigars around pool deck. YUK! Our stay was still spectacular! Highly recommend this resort for a relaxing stay. With restaurants and nightlife just a hike away up in town of Oia.

Beautiful little spot only a few minutes from the centre of Oia and with a stunning sunset view from the daybeds and infinity pool. It’s right opposite Beefbar so a perfect place to stay and enjoy the best of this town.

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We arrived early, way before check in and they were more than accommodating. They stored our bags and allowed us to use the pool and shower facilities. They were extremely communicative and gave us many great tips and recommendations. It was extremely serene and the rooms are beautiful. I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will most definitely be going back in the future. Thank you Elea, we had the most amazing time.

A beautiful property and very well kept. It’s a serene place to stay despite being centrally located in Oia. The reception team are very engaging and can arrange anything you require, taxi transfers, trips, best restaurants for sunset views in town and so on. You get the best of both worlds here. You could happily spend the day by the two pools (or your own of course) and eat from the limited but extremely good hotel menu and end the day watching the sunset from the infinity pool sun Loungers with a cocktail in hand having not left the property at all!

Our stay was nice. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The hot tub was a perfect addition, providing a relaxing and luxurious touch. The swimming pools were beautifully maintained and added to the overall serene atmosphere. Very quiet. Decent location. Walkable to good areas for food and activities but walking back after supper is VERY dark (zero lighting outside of the property). The staff is polite and helpful. Big rooms. The breakfast is good especially for early departure, they will bring it to your room the night before.

It was one of the greatest experiences to stay at Elea resort. The room and hot tub were clean and very well maintained. Swimming pool and the resort has the beautiful scenery with amazing sunset. You don't need to go to the crowded area to view sunset. Staffs were very kind and they delivered the breakfast to the room. The quality and quantity of the breakfast was also great. Definitely recommend this place to have a great stay in Oia, Santorini.
