Room was clean. Staff was friendly but the front desk wasn’t manned and you had to track someone down.

The neighborhood the hotel was in was a little difficult to get to, even though you can see it. You have to drive through some other parking lots to get there. A number of things around it are run down or closed. The hotel itself seems to be kept nice.
The check-in process was smooth. The elevator smelled like some people had used some "herbal medicine" in it. It was less than pleasant. Breakfast was adequate, and the staff was somewhat attentive to taking care of things, more so than most places.

The hotel is under new management and being renovated. There clearly are some cosmetic issues that need to be addressed, but I stayed twice in the last week and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and there was good selection of snacks for sale at the front desk. The only suggestion I would make is better signage off Hamilton Road, because the entrance is tucked behind a Red Lobster and not easy to find at night.
