    EN Hotel Hakata is in a very convenient location, just one corner away from Canal City Hakata and within walking distance of the historic Hakata Old Town. It is a great base for exploring the area, with plenty of local restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops nearby. The hotel operates largely on a self-service concept, with staff available when assistance is needed. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. The room and bathroom are compact, as expected in Japan, but still manageable for two people. We were able to move around comfortably and open two 24–26-inch suitcases at the same time. The room was clean and functional. On the downside, the room was quite dimly lit and had no view at all. However, considering the location and convenience, it was still a pleasant stay overall.

    IMO best for solo travellers or couples with two hand carry luggages. Came with my partner and having to manage two big luggages was not possible - one had to be closed for the other to open. Toilet is really small, with one master control for tap and the shower. Which means if one partner is showering, u can’t wash your hands or fill the kettle to boil water. No cupboard space to hang things the than two hooks, and I’ve to pay 500 yen to rent an extra pillow for the whole stay - a first at a hotel. Not expensive since I stayed three nights and the pillow is comfortable! Very good location near the train station and 10 min walk to Hakata station. Nearby convenience stores. Staff were polite. The lobby always perpetually had cooked smell as the kitchen was right next to the lobby.
