Hotel is kind of old; but location is great. Close to SBB train station, can walk or take a free short bus ride to run errands. Right next to old town.

The room was good, there were nice lighting options including a small night-light lamp that had charging portals! We like charging portals when traveling! The room had a long desk where one could eat or write. I was thrilled to find a bathtub! These are a rarity in Europe and so much needed after 2 1/2 weeks of train travel and lugging our bags across Italy and Switzerland! Our aching muscles were delighted. The female front desk staffer was very friendly and helpful. There is 24 hour free coffee/ tea in the lobby.

First some positives: the location is excellent. Take bus from the train station, and it stops right next to hotel in 10 minutes. It’s in middle of the city , so lot of dinning and shopping options Room size was good . We stayed 3 people. Bed and pillows: pillows were terrible. We requested second pillow for each of us, and still with two pillows it wasn’t good enough Air conditioning: be ready that this hotel doesn’t has any air conditioner in the room. We stayed in the month of August for 4 nights and temperature in the night was around 65-70F. They provide one 14” small table fan which may be good for one sofa bed next to it . We requested second fan, and it was denied. The solution hotel staff gave to get some cooling during night time is to open balcony doors (2 of them ) which let mosquitoes and road noise throughout the night.. overall all 4 nights were restless Breakfast: we paid for daily breakfast. It was mid. No scrambled eggs. Only boil eggs, 2 juices, some type of breads etc. same menu all 4 days .. it was Mid. So have high hopes on breakfast, even when it wasn’t complementary but paid. All in all, avoid this hotel.

The staff was very helpful. Our room that was on the 4th floor could use some updating in the bathroom as the shower head did not work well and the water temperature in the shower/tub was difficult to adjust. (It was either very hot or very cold). Our friends were on a different floor with a newly remodeled bathroom that they said was very nice. The location was great for walking to the train station and walking to attractions.

Hotel was generally fine but unusually hot August weather made the lack of air conditioning a bit painful. Normal temperatures would have been no problem. Room did have a fan and a balcony which helped a bit.

The location of the property is great and the price is reasonable. Parking on the street is easy and safe, and the staff at reception will help you get a digital day pass for it. The greatest downside, if you are travelling in summer, is the lack of AC. They provide a fan which is not enough. The rooms get very hot and the air unbreathable. Because the other buildings are pretty close, if you leave the windows open during the night so the air can circulate, you are left with no privacy.

Positives first. Great location, easily walkable from train station. I had very little interaction with hotel staff but check in was smooth and efficient. Appreciated the continental breakfast. They had all day free coffee and an ice machine, which I greatly enjoyed. Now the negatives. The bed was as hard as an ironing board and the pillows was so mushy they were useless. There was no air conditioning, which for majority of the year I’m sure is fine but in mid July I was extremely hot. They did provide a fan but it was quite useless. Sleeping proved to be very difficult. So for that reason I would NOT stay at this hotel again.

The location is perfect. We arrived on foot from the train station and still had time to check in. The staff was always very friendly and took care of our bags so we could explore the city. All the attractions, including supermarkets and many restaurants, are close to the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was spotless.

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. Except for the lack of air-conditioning and refrigerator. The hotel is located in the city center. It is convenient to travel. There is a supermarket and bus station downstairs. You can go to the nearby attractions such as the dying lion and the castle without taking a car. It is recommended that the hotel should have air-conditioning and refrigerators, which will be more perfect. I will stay here again next time, and I hope that there will be air-conditioning and refrigerators by then.

I liked the location. Walkable to the main attractions, chapel hill bridge and the lion monument. The staff was decent, the reason I say that is because we needed an extra fan and we literally had to beg for it. He al ost didn’t want to check in the storage room for it. Not to mention the one in the room was not working properly .

Room was spacious, clean, and well decorated. Breakfast was great. Parking is in shopping center down the street. We stayed during the heat wave and humidity. A fan was in the room. It was rather hot in the room, even with the fan on. We opened all the patio doors (our room had three). It cooled off by the time we went to bed, but we closed them and it got quite miserable again in the night, so we opened the doors again and slept with the doors open. If you are staying in the summer heat, and you don't like to sleep with windows/patio doors open, or you don't sleep well with outside noise, you might not do well here. I would have no problem staying again, especially outside the summer heat timeframe.

The location is excellent. We walked to the lion monument and to the lake. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping. The room was spacious and because it was on the 5th floor, the views were spectacular.

Property was centrally located, breakfast was nice with lots of options, rooms were clean and spacious, and staff was helpful and courteous. My only complaint is there is on air conditioning, which is typically for these hotels in older buildings, but there was only one small fan available for our room, so it was pretty hot late into the night. Nothing against the property, but something people should know when booking.
