The hotel staff and the food were excellent but there was an issue with the room. We booked a club room with balcony as per Hotels. Com website. On arrival we’re told the club rooms did not have balconies so I asked for a room with a balcony. It was a pool view but it was also a huge building site view within 20 metres. A massive crane was within 10 meters of the balcony working from 8 to 5.30. Very noisy indeed. I had to pay extra for this room over the original. I am not sure the hotel should be selling these rooms currently. I could carry on a conversation with the builders without shouting. I did discuss the problem at reception but was told there was nothing to be done.

The hotel is conveniently located in the bay close to shops, restaurants and ferry port. I got an upgrade to ocean view room and it is definitely worth it - you get a balcony and it's lovely to wake up and see the port wake up too. The pool is not big but a great space if you want to splash around a bit. The service is extremely nice and helpful. I will definitely return!

Thalassa is a nice hotel, well situated in front of the sea. The rooms are rather small but quite OK. Some are facing the sea which must be wonderful (unfortunately, we were in the back). Service was friendly and helpful. in the back there is a big parking lot were you can leave the car at a very reasonable price of 4 €/night. Breakfast is very extended and gives a good choice. The hotel has also a quality restaurant at reasonable prices and with a friendly service. All in all a good stay at the hotel at a rather high price for the rooms, taking into account that they are good but small. On the other hand, a nice place for visiting Camaret-sur-mer and the region.

Ideally placed in this lovely bay, with a small pool and sunbathing area it was very pleasant. On the down side, there was no air con, and we were lucky enough to catch some beautiful warm weather!
