Got an upgrade to the main hotel as it was my husbands birthday
We were a small group and 3 of our rooms were upgraded
Great staff
Breakfast was very expensive but breakfast room manager was exceptional and bought a beautiful plate of cakes on the morning of my husbands birthday
Beautiful hotel
Ate in restaurant which was very good
Had drinks in bar with the whole group
Was a bit shocked when my sparkling water was served in a chipped glass and I exchanged it and was still charged for the water ! Did not make a fuss as did not want to spoil the evening for our party . I was treating them all to drinks. Just think there should have been a gesture
Rooms could do with upgrading

Hotel was 5 star but rooms 4 star
Also at times there was a sewage smell in the bathroom

We were in a room that had a radiator heater, the staff were quick to rectify seeing that we had a toddler. Breakfast was great and everyone was so helpful and kind!

The location was great. The shower needs a shelf.. in the pillows were square which I found hard to sleep on. But otherwise, it was perfect.

The staff were incredibly kind, the room was very clean and everything was updated, the hotel is like a museum in that it has a very interesting history. It was an excellent stay and very close to shops, restaurants, etc.
