Stunning looking hotel. They use all the old beams, arches, doors and floors and surround them in a modern setting. It’s right on the canal in the heart of town so water views are everywhere.

This is a beautiful hotel with great service and located in a great spot in Copenhagen just slightly outside of the crowded tourist area. Very walkable. It is worth paying extra for the water view rooms. I contacted the hotel in advance of our stay to request reservations at the restaurant on our day of arrival since it was my husband's birthday that day. We arrived and they had upgraded our room and left a note and chocolates in the room for his birthday and the restaurant gave him birthday greetings the moment we walked in. Our stay here was lovely. It is a very large hotel and got to be quite crowded toward the end of our 4 day stay in August. If you are looking for a quiet boutique style hotel, this hotel is not that. That being said, they seem to manage the crowds well and the hotel is really maintained beautifully.
