Villa Smeralda New - INFINITYHOLIDAYS

The views at the property were awesome, and the pool was lovely and refreshing in the hotter weather. We loved observing local wildlife (including wild boar). It was a private place with room for all four of us. We were grateful to get the wifi password (although we messaged the property owners direct for this as it was not on site anywhere). Lots of great facilities and space to relax. The location is lovely too - views over the coast and if you drive to the water you can walk 15 minutes to a beautiful cove.

We were surprised that both showers had blocked drains, which could have caused real issues - after we contacted the office we waited 24 hours and did not get a maintenance man, so we cleaned them ourselves. For this, we were given a bottle of wine as a thank you. We also mentioned that the pool water was going down quickly and they did send a man to refill it, but he didn't return to turn the hose off later, despite saying he would. The property was apparently 'luxury' and the decor was great, but the beds were uncomfortable and there was only one pillow per person. Also only one large and one small towel each (and no separate shower mat), despite paying for linens as an extra. We were surprised that there was no information pack, which was a real oversight.
