We enjoyed the less crowded area, almost secluded. The genuine and true kindness of the host and staff who helped us enjoy our stay. We drove there, but people need to be comfortable with narrow and high roads. Getting there by boat might be better for some people. We walked to Loutro and hiked at the near by Iron Gates, which is a must do if you like the outdoors. (Need to take 45 minutes ferry boat from Loutro to Iron Gates)

We had a wonderful stay at Finikas Resort! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The room was very beautiful,clean and comfortable, the staff were so kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. We felt at home and really enjoyed every moment. We would love to come back and highly recommend this place!

The most beautiful place in the still very rural south west of Crete. A true oasis of tranquility. The hosts were the best- we felt right at home.
