The apartment is superb, located in a famous building, the Imperial Hotel in Menton.

The attitude of the host/administrator was very strange. First of all, the day before check-in, I received an email, in which, among other things, I was asked to pay a sum of money for the insurance of the goods in the apartment! 32 Euros non-refundable(!!) or 220 Euros refundable. If I did not choose one of the options, I could not continue with the check-in. There is no other option but to pay, because you do not have any contact (phone number). Since everything happened the day before the stay, I chose to pay the 32 Euros option, but I think it is all a scam. I am curious what Booking thinks about this, if they consider it normal for their clients to be asked for additional amounts of money, after they have paid everything and their reservation has been confirmed. After I paid , I received a link through which various things were explained to me and which should have explained to me how to get the keys and enter the property. By 5pm, the check-in time (a very strange time for check-in, I've never seen a check-in this late before) the link didn't offer any information, it just urged you to buy ""early check-in"" or ""late check-out""! At 5pm sharp I received the instructions to enter the property, in the form of pictures and a video, quite complex information, which I should normally have received much earlier. The access code for the car in the property's courtyard didn't work, I panicked, I spoke to a person who lived there and who gave me a phone number of a property cleaner. Finally, I entered the hotel courtyard with the help of the neighbor in question and into the apartment after carefully analyzing the pictures and the video It was very unpleasant what happened and I wasted time. Later I was contacted on WhatsApp by Remy who questioned me, why I called that lady!

The location is superb. Lots of space and comfortable. It has all the amenities.

Very difficult to contact the manager, as you don’t have the phone number and they don’t respond to the msgs on booking on time (more than 6h). We had the wrong code for the big gate (and were able to enter the building with the help of a neighbor that was able to help).
