Hotiday Rapallo Old Town

These are corporate-owned flats in the Old City. I dislike the trend of holiday flats having 16h checkins, so I appreciated that the host allowed us to check in an hour early. Clean & secure, with a full kitchen, and 2 bedrooms. The flat is in a great location in the Old City, but behind a much larger building, so it's very dark.

To be honest, this is one of the strangest-designed holiday flats I've ever stayed in. There are only 2 exterior windows in the entire flat (+1 in the bathroom), and neither are in the bedrooms! Instead, the bedrooms have a cupboard-like opening in their walls that face these 2 windows. Unfortunately, the rooms get very little fresh air, and are stifling hot and very dark as a result. The main bedroom has A/C, but the other one does not, and in autumn the other bedroom was too hot to use. The flat has a weird, very long hallway filled with 1980s-style shiny black cabinet storage. So much storage! One cabinet had several bottles of vodka (??!!), but most had endless packages of bedsheets. Access to the main bedroom and the bathroom is down this long hall, and up short, but slick black stairs. It would have made so much more sense to remove the windowless walls from the bedrooms and make an open, airy loft space. The bed mattresses need replacing- there are large-people trenches worn into them, and it made it difficult to sleep.

très bien placé, l’appartement est très grand, on s’y sent bien. tout est très propre. Le rapport qualité/ prix est super. nous avons adoré notre séjour à Rapallo.
